For someone who likes both, this is a Great lube! For for being a hybrid, the silicone part is slick and not smelly, it doesn’t last as long as it could if it was only silicone. The water based part is fantastic cause it doesn’t take much effort to clean up. Bum play, easy clean up. Silicone toy, easy clean up. So...lube is a tricky product to review. You want to make sure you've put it to all of the tests to compare it to others out there. Honestly, I was skeptical of this hybrid formula. I've used 100% silicone lubes in the past—though they provide the slickest play—it's a messy business (i.e., if you get any lube on the floor or other objects it can become a hazardous, slip and slide nightmare). That being said, the formula for this lube seems to be very low silicone content. There is just enough in there to add some slickness, beyond what you get from water-based alone. There is little to no residue left behind and it's fairly easy to clean up. For this particular lube it was tested during a long backdoor session of play. The nozzle has some pros and cons. It is very good at delivering a large amount if you push all the way down, but also can ooze out very small and deliberate amounts (something not seen with any other pump bottle I've used). One downside to the nozzle is when you're done. If you want to seal it down to its "locked" position, you'll be losing a lot of lube in the process. This happens with other bottles like this, but since this pump delivers such large volumes for a full pump...it's a bummer and you should plan way ahead when wrapping things up. As for the lubrication effectiveness: amazing! It's almost like the silicone portion stays behind and provides a thin layer of constant slickness. Yes, you'll need to reapply during play...but way less volume is needed each time. Great formula! Competitive cost. Probably going to be a returning customer on this one. (On a side note, the seal on the bottle when it arrived was such a pain to get off...and realize it's important to not leak, but having to dig at it multiple times with a utility knife was a bit much).
