  • Great snowshoe
Had to replace my 10 year old Tubbs Frontiers. My friend had a new pair of Tubbs Fontier and liked the bindings. The 180 bindings are easy to put on and easy to take off. Just step into the snowshoe with your boot against the rear strap then fasten the front strap and away you go. To remove, unfasten the front strap, lift your boot up and they come off. A lot easier than earlier model ... show more

  • Great starter snowshoe!
Size: 36 Color: Light Grey/Citron
These are excellent snowshoes for the flat Midwest. Great float for even for big dudes.

  • Worst pair in 30+ years of snowshoeing
30 years of snowshoeing experience, favorite outdoor activity, previous and/or current owner of 13 pairs of snowshoes from Tubbs, Redfeather, MSR, even Yukon, and this is the first time I've felt obligated to review a product on Amazon. These are, hands down, no question, the worst pair of snowshoes ever made. If you use the snowshoes for more than casual walk, the hard plastic bindings will cut into your boots and destroy your feet in multiple locations. I went through 3 pairs of different boots and didn't realize it was the binding on the shoes wreaking havoc until a friend using a second set had the same problem. Like a moron, I bought 2 sets of these snowshoes when they were on sale in the summer then a 3rd for a friend at the start of the winter season, and on the 3rd pair the binding attachment broke on first use. This should not happen with a piece of steel that holds the entire binding in place, and raises yet another design flaw that is the single plastic clasp that holds the entire binding together on top. When this piece ultimately breaks in cold weather on a single binding system, have fun getting back home in deep powder. Finally, these do not have rotation limiters. If you don't know what that is, you'll find out soon enough when your shins are beat to crap. Tubbs should be ashamed by this product. They used to be the best snowshoe company (and why I didn't hesitate to buy 3 pairs out of the gate), but anyone who uses these for their first experience snowshoeing for any extended period will abandon the sport. ... show more

  • I like them!
Easy to get on and no problems walking through deep powder. I am not a long haul trekker so cannot confirm the shin pain issue commented on, or the boot damage, but for my leisurely walks through the woods they were great.

  • Happy
Bought this for my son in VT. He said they are the best snowshoes he's ever had. Very happy.

  • Back binding
Overall I do like Tubbs. This is my second pair. Only downside I have with this is the back binding. Wish they could engineer this feature better. Tends to fall off the back of my boot and is difficult to get back on. Very difficult in deep snow.

  • Very Pleased!
Have used for ~ 6 weeks. Daily snowshoeing on flat to rolling terrain in Wisconsin. Replaced a really expensive pair I had for 25+ years. Love the bindings, very easy to use and adjust to different size boots (boots change depending on temperatures which range from -30F to +30F). Fairly light, not noisy, steel crampons so they won't bend like aluminum. Have zero complaints. ... show more
