I had a mouse in my nyc apartment that seemed to only stay in the kitchen. Could not catch it, even after the exterminator left poison packs and glue traps. I placed one of these TSCTBA Pest Control packs in the sink cabinet, as well as under the stove. Used 3 just in the kitchen, and two in the living room, and 1 in the hall coat closet. Later that day, I saw the (teeny tiny) mouse run into the living room. I’m assuming the mouse found it uncomfortable to stay in the kitchen, moved to the living room, where I never saw any sign of it again. So happy to say; I firmly believe these packs did the trick. They are very strong. Actually had to move its location in the Living room because it was near my corner sofa, and while lounging, I could feel my eyes starting to feel uncomfortable and watering. These did fill my apartment with the smell, but I was aggressive in my usage in order to get rid of the mouse. The smell isn’t difficult to live with, as it’s not as offensive as chemicals, in my opinion, although would recommend not placing them nearby where you may lounge or sleep. These lasted about 3 months, as stated, although the strength does decrease in about two months time, if I remember correctly. Still worth it, as it’s been about 4 months and no signs of a mouse. I still have the packs in the same locations, as the smell has subsided, but still seems to emit something. I’ll change them out if another mouse comes around, or until spring… ... show more

It's a set it and forget it pest repellent. I used gloves to handle it and threw it in the attic and crawl spaces. Strong but not unpleasant mint smell that doesn't seem into the house too.

I'm using these in a winterized RV as a precaution against field mice, which are just a fact of life in my rural location. So far, after about a month they're still putting off a strong minty fragrance that's supposed to be offensive to mice. If that's true, then I'd say these seem strong enough to be a deterrent and they do smell better than moth balls, which I've used in the past. In my opinion, the fragrance is maybe a bit harsher than say what an air freshener might be - but that's probably better for the job it's intended for. It's hard to give a perfect five stars because I doubt that any such deterrent could be effective in every scenario, but I have no complaints and am satisfied with the product for my particular needs. ... show more
