These covers are see-through. Thought I would save money & help the environment by reusing my old patio pillows, but their pattern can be seen. To buy pillow inserts to avoid this, my total invested would be $40 + tax. I can go to a home goods store & buy a set for $20. Can’t attest to the durability b/c I’m not keeping them. These pillow covers look great on my balcony! The zippers work well, and the pattern shows up well. They are a bit thin, and I can see how if you put them over a patterned pillow the one underneath may show through. However, I put these over red pillows that had faded to pink, but you can’t tell that at all now! I do hope these don’t fade too quickly in the sun, but only time will tell.
