  • Decent
May not be speed demon but beats Raspberry Pi 4 and 5 hands down and some of older 5-6th generation i5. I have been using Raspberry Pi for long time but since I realized that I mostly do maker thing with Ardurino, ESP32, and Raspberry Pi Pico (RP2400), and I run most time containers at my Raspberry pi 3-4, I figure this was better deal at the price compared to Raspberry pi 5 especially looking at the price. Performance was much better than I expected. 16GB helps a lot. 4 cores were not hyperthreaded but was very solid performance for running all of my containers that I ran on 4 Pi4s and 1 Pi3 and a lot more room. Included 512GB NVMe was nice although I didn't expect Windows 11 Pro license that it came with. It also had internal bay for laptop drive with SATA port. I inserted my old laptop 80GB magnetic drive (6 years old and still kicking) and installed debian using internal NVMe drive as extra storage as well as dual boot just in case. I paid $129 with coupon at the time and considering spec and accessories, I could not have done that with Raspberry Pi 5. I took 1 start down since I wish they had hyperthread (may be I should have looked at N305). I like Raspberry pi but recently, I think other than Pico, and compute modules, it's getting a lot of competition from both maker thing (Ardurino, and ESP) and low end compute (NUCs) and price they are targeting is no longer make sense for their original intentions. ... show more

  • Simple PC and it works!
I got three more of these just now. Re-formated and only running Ubuntu 22.04 LTS or Proxmox 8.2.x - have never tried running Windows on them. They work fine in a simple container/virtualization lab - but wouldn't use them as my workstation. Small lab footprint and low power usage are the gains here. ... show more

  • Media server/Light gaming PC/Office must have
This PC is exactly what it was made for, Super light duty PC BUT made with really good parts. Usually people make products to make money BUT this device was made and the consumer in mind, Whaaaaaaaat??? I'm a PC tech and I buy thing to help me with my daily life, Wether it's work related or pleasure, Being a computers technician makes my decision more complicated than an average Joe. I did know what I'm buying, But to get what it claims it is, This is kinda hard to find these days in a mini PC. Seller made an excellent decision providing good quality parts. One major defect is that the HDD/SSD slot SATA port is not aligned well, IF it's all the pcs affected not just mine, I'd think it's a major issue but a simple fix. Open the under cover to install a storage device like I did, I removed the cover, Tried to install my storage device, It would never go in, Don't push too hard. Then unscrewed the sata port thing gently, Connected it into my 2.5" sata 4TB drive, Then seated the drive where it should be, The sata port won't be fitting in the same screw holes, It will be off by less than an inch from both side, Just leave it as it is, Secure the cover on top of it, Just align the SATA port with drive cover. Then secure the device with 4 x M3*5 screws. Then put the cover back into it's place, Put back the 4 screws you removed to open the under cover and you are good to go. Start the PC and it should show in windows. I really recommend it for people who need a really nice, light processing unit pretty good for Office applications, I never had any issue playing YouTube 4K videos cause the wifi adapter is pretty strong meaning worked well with my home FiOS, it read 500mbps-600mbps from 1000mbps not bad at all and it detected my PC monitor resolution 2560x1440 144hz and it works flawlessly. It did not stutter. I'm truly impressed to see something small and never stutter, I love it. You can upgrade the internal m.2 nvme drive yes, It has PCI-E 3x4 2280, So I took the 512gb drive that I chose with the setup and upgraded to 2TB drive cause the drive came in it rated at 800 mb/s not too bad, For me I need faster so I installed my 2tb rated at 3,500 mb/s, And it works at full speed. This PC is awesome, I recommend it to anyone that doesn't know anything about pcs but wants something that will work with their big TV in the living or bedroom for browsing the web, playing light games and enjoy movies streaming online like Amazon Prime and so on. ***PLEASE READ BEFORE USING IT*** ***Unfortunately it came to my attention that all USB ports are soldered on this mini PC upside down, Why does it matter? People may push force a USB device plug and end up damaging the port and/or the device plug. I was trying to use a fingerprint reader. I looked at all USB ports unfortunately all are upside down, front and back, Look at last picture a close up**** ... show more
