Summary: Nice looking and solidly built desk and cabinet with metal frames and legs. Seller's customer service is stellar. Overall, very good desk with one minor structural concern (engineering nitpick; read the detailed description of it). Details: Firstly, the desk is heavy. It came in two large boxes, each 50 to 70 pounds; you will need at least two people to carry the boxes in. Secondly, be prepared for lots of Styrofoam everywhere. Boxes are well packaged with lots of protective Styrofoam packing. Thirdly, set aside few hours to put the desk together. It took two of us about 3 hours to put the desk together. Pro: Really nice looking executive desk. Each pieces are well built IKEA like instruction set is easy to follow Customer service. One of the metal leg's flange was bent. Tribesigns responded promptly to my concerns and offered either credit or replacement piece. I chose the replacement piece, which arrived within couple of days. Amazing CS. Con: 1. Heavy; don't expect to move the desk too much after assembly 2. Takes a long time to put together 3. Engineering Nitpick: The desk comes with two metal legs. It attaches to the cabinet portion using four anchor points (see picture for #26 & #27)- two screws and two nuts & bolts. The issue is that the two screws (F) are set in below the cabinet top (and cannot hold any substantial weight) and the two bolts & nuts I & Q) are along the front side of the cabinet piece, which leave the rear portion of the desk weak. In short, don't put any substantial weight on the desk near the cabinet side. To Tribesigns: If you can redesign the desk to have a third metal leg instead of two F screws (#27 of step #13), then the desk would be perfect. ... show more

Find an Allen wrench that is a screwdriver style. Overall, it’s not a difficult build, but it takes some time. I’m happy with the end product.

The instructions are very small and not detailed for this item. I was able to get through most of it but I have no idea how to get the drawers on because the drawer guides might have to be separated but they don’t tell you how to do it. They just have a picture of the wrong screw (E) going into the guide (30) in step 1. This makes sense at the time but does not make any sense when you get to step 21 as you do not potentially have the piece to attach to the drawer since it’s already screwed onto the desk. Would love if someone could reach out and help with this. ... show more

I needed a bigger more grown up deal than my original one I bought for my home office along with storage. I agree with the other reviewers that step one mentions use of incorrect screws at the top, but just ignore that. Rest of directions are clear and easy to follow once you get the drawer pieces disconnected in step 1. I provided pictures of that to help anyone else who had difficulty figuring it out. You have to press down on that little tip sticking out in the first photo and then the two pieces will come apart. You must take them apart in order to connect one piece to the desk and the other to the drawer. I do love almost everything about it now that I’ve been using it for a couple of months. Not giving 5 stars because I honestly thought it was black and brown, not a dark gray. I’m ok with it but would’ve preferred black. Also, the desk is not fingerprint proof. Leaves smudges a lot. And I wish the opening in the corner of the desk was wider. Can’t really store much there, but I’m using it to store my power strip at least, so that’s somewhat hidden from view at least. The spacing for the drawers are slightly off as well, but they slide nicely and work well. So again, overall I’m very happy with this roomy desk for sure! Just would make a couple of minor tweaks for it to be 5 stars. Hopefully this review helps others out though. ... show more
