Beautiful canister that worked very well for dispersion. No instructions on how to fill or use it but I easily found a YouTube video that made it clear. When you are reeling from grief it helps to have the visual to help you think through clearly. The bottom of the outside container arrived slightly bent and loose, however, the way you use the inside container allowed it to be no problem. We were thankful to have purchased this container.

I took my mom ashes for Texas to West Virginia. The funeral home divided her ashes into an urn and a sprinkling tube. The sprinkling tube provided by the funeral home was HUGE. I don't travel with anything other than a backpack, so space is limited. Most of her ashes remained in Texas and she was buried here. I was able to put the ashes in the original sprinkling tube into the much smaller one for transportation. She made it to West Viginia in style (nice looking tube) and a small part of her will forever be in the Shenandoah Mountains.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I can't believe that i am reviewing the spreading of my dad's ashes, but best to know. The method for spreading from the container is a bit tricky and two of us tried it with two containers and both of us had problems. These are probably great if you are spreading ashes over a garden or other area, but not for spreading off a cliff. It didn't go Big Lebowski, but was impossible. Luckily I remembered that the tubes were biodegradable so we ended up throwing the whole of both containers out, into the ocean. Also, two of these cubes still only held half of my father's ashes and he was small by the time of his death, probably 5' 7" and 120 pounds. So keep this in mind if your plan is to spread all your loved one's ashes at once.

Purchased 2 of these for my parents & their dog. We were planting a tree at a memorial them & I wanted a vessel that would degrade over time but also something large enough to hold 2 people & a small dog. This was perfect.
