I bought this for my 4 year old. My Emery was so eager to see what she'd gotten that she did it backwards as I was reading the instructions. She wanted sand but got slime. The slime was sticky and had to be washed off the toys. Good idea for a gift or a quick, lazy afternoon activity.

My boys were excited to get these but the sand stuff was messy! We ordered 2 and one of them actually had the golden apple so they were pumped about that. They got some sand and a little figure so I would say it is an OK value for the money.

    • Cool concept but poor execution
I’ve got a few of these for my kids now and they are huge Fans of all the treasure x toys. They love these too but I personally don’t think they have the same value. The concept is cool: dig into a Minecraft block with a sword/pickaxe and unearth the slime or sand. And inside is a character that you put together using a water-activated glue. The issues that I have are that the figures don’t move at all after assembly. This is in contrast to all other treasure x figures that have moveable arms or legs. The other thing is that the glue (the hearts activated by water) don’t really hold the figures’s components together. I typically have to go over it again with superglue to get them to stay. Other than that, the styling and the excitement are both fun. Just not the same level as other sets. ... show more

My boys love these but the slime (lava) was awful and got on everything. It wasn’t a slime you could keep or play with, it was too sticky and had to be washed off everything.
