It's a little bulky and heavy but works very well! I have had trianga alcohol stove for years now and have been using a aftermarket light weight wind screen and pot stand. I just found out trianga makes these windscreens, pot stands, pots and pans and I think they are awsome. I feel like these would be particularly useful in colder or windy weather then summer. I ordered the extra upper wind shield to use with TRANGIA pots over an ordinary propane camp stove. Keeps the heat close to the sides of the pot for even and efficient cooking.

I bought the entire Trangia stove kit to use while backpacking. This stove is great. It's the first alcohol stove that I have used. I've used it to cook many different things and have found it to be reliable and very efficient. The flame is easily controlled so that you can boil or simmer easily. I live in the south eastern U.S. so I cannot attest to its performance in cold weather yet. I would recommend this stove to anyone looking for an alcohol stove. It is well made and seems very durable so far. The only drawback I see is the size of the windscreens for someone interested in minimalist gear. ... show more

This works very well with the lower windshield to create a stable platform for your Trangia stove. It is very light, and appears well made. I used both on a windy day and the flame was well protected.
