  • GREAT FIT These bags fit most western saddle horns (up to a 4 cap) & endurance riding saddles without shifting or flapping; at 812H x 7W x 4D (approx. 194 cubic inches per side), these bags are ideal for shorter day rides.
  • SECURE EASILY - Velcro straps securely wrap around the pommel of both western & endurance saddles. The loops on the underside allow you to tie each bag down with saddles strings.
  • PREMIUM MATERIALS These are constructed from double-stitched, 600-denier polyester with heavy duty zippers. All wear points are reinforced with heavy duty webbing.
  • EASY CLEAN UP These can be machine washed & dried. Just remove the liners first (hand wash only) and the nylon bags can be washed in warm or cold water & line or machine dried on low.

Description

Our TrailMax Saddlebag products have been tested in the rugged Rocky Mountains of Montana & have proven their quality & durability. The TrailMax Medium Horn Bags easily fit most endurance saddles & fit over most size western saddle horns. They are secured with velcro straps over the pommel & tied down with the front saddle strings to prevent shifting & slapping against the horse or rider. These bags are ideal for short day rides but can be combined with the TrailMax Pommel Pocket. For longer rides, add our Medium Saddlebags, Original Saddles bags or our Daytripper Cantle Bag. DIMENSIONS: 8½"H x 7"W x 4"D (approx. 194 cubic inches per side).

I like these saddle bags. They fit well over the horn of my saddle, and I stabilized them with ties. They didn't flop or move around much at all. I like having them in front of me for easy accessibility. The zippers work well and the material is durable. I love these little bags. I have an endurance saddle (no horn) and they stay in place without shifting and sagging. I like the little foam insulated inserts - they add integrity to the bags to help keep the bottoms from sagging from heavy items. Zippers are easy to open and close thanks to little nylon tabs at the side that are easy to grip, even with riding gloves on. ... show more

First thing i noticed was the packaging. It was not wrapped in bubble wrap or with tissue paper. It was a clear plastic bag which I knew was already gonna be a good product. The quality of the horn bags are great. Everything from the zippers to the stitching. It even has removable insulators which I was surprised at since it was not mentioned. Great choice. I like the fabric, I like all the compartments, the only thing that I was a little disappointed in was the lack of water bottle holders. I have managed to use one of the compartments for my water and it works just fine.

I love the size of these. They can hold drinks and my first aide kit as well a gloves and some extras. I combine it with the pommel pocket for easier to reach items like my camera and have everything I need at easy reach. They have very touch, but easy to open zippers and padded liners that can be removed to make more space if desired. I have the rear bags as well, but these hold so much that I rarely use them. This is a great size for the pommel. It's not too bulky that it inhibits reining or legs. I like that 2 water bottles can fit into one side leaving room in the other for camera, snacks, sunglasses etc. I would have liked the lining to be more permanent ; stay in place better.
