The shelves themselves are nice and sturdy but the shipping has less than desirable traits. Both this and the shorter shelf I ordered arrived broken and I didn't realize they were damaged until almost finished putting them together.

When the package arrived the central trim piece was broken off. Rather than return the unit I decided to just glue it back on using many wood clamps. Then when I went to assemble the bookshelf I discovered that a large part of the directions were missing. I have been trying to get in touch with the manufacturer via the phone number and email address they gave for Customer Service. So far no answer to any of my queries. I guess I am just going to have to figure it out myself. I certainly would hesitate to buy anything from this company again. ... show more
