    • Safer than alternatives
Safer and more gentle than attaching to bridle or curb if you don't have an expensive Cavesson (the cheap ones are a waste of money and aren't sufficient). I prefer this attachment over a cheap Cavesson. At least it keeps you keenly aware of your hands and movements, while the inexpensive Cavessons slip and put pressure in poor locations, which is also not relevant to actual riding. ... show more

Worked perfectly for what I needed. It's not cheap quality, but it's not fancy. It also works well for my draft cross with a giant head. The snaps don't get gritty/stuck like others I have had.

I got this so I could attach the lunge line under the chin of my horse while she is wearing a pelham bit with rings too small to run the snap of the lunge through it. Works well for changing direction on lunge. If it had some elastic and a different adjustment system, it could give greater control and act like a curb chain. ... show more

    • What a slick little bridle add-on!
I no longer have to work my horse with the halter for groundwork in the arena, then remove the halter and put the bridle in place before riding. It's OK. Not great, but perfectly serviceable. If you went to a tack shop, you probably wouldn't pick this one, as the leather is stiff, the clips are poorly made (one spins freely, but the other catches), and it's heavier than it should be. But for an item purchased from my couch during the pandemic, I'm pretty happy with it. It's certainly better than swapping over the lunge line when I switch directions. ... show more
