This also means she requires a small blanket and flysheet, but she is just a bit too round for the buckles to be comfortable. This helps us get a nice middle ground. My mini got a wee bit of a belly, and though his blankets fit perfect, the straps were too snug on his stomach. I ordered these and they hooked up easily and have stayed put through several nights he’s been blanketed. I feel much better he’s more comfy now.

    • A Fix for Ill-Fitting Belly Straps
These are excellent for fly sheets and blankets with wrap-around belly straps. I recently purchased a fly sheet on sale, but the wrap-around belly straps were too short. These extensions easily solved my problem. They are not elastic, so they stay in place. They are also quite affordable, though I found them cheaper at other online retailers (but the shipping wouldn't get them to me fast enough).     • So glad these exist
One would think that it would occur to the manufacturer of a size 90 blanket that it's going to be used on a fairly large horse, and therefore, the belly straps would need to be longer than on smaller sized blankets. Makes some sense, after all. Imagine my surprise when I put the size 90 blanket on my Clydesdale and although the length was just fine, the belly straps were too short (I actually measured them and they were the same length as those on a 78). The online seller where I got the blanket doesn't pay for returns (and I bought two of them so it wouldn't have been cheap to send them back). Just for the hell of it, I did a search on Amazon and found these straps. I ordered several pairs and they are absolutely perfect. I didn't have to return the blankets and my Clydesdale, much to his mortification, gets to wear his stable blanket and turn out blanket. These are worthless. The neck on the metal fastener is not long enough to attach to the blanket properly. Don’t waste your money.

    • Metal neck is too wide
Just an FYI that the metal neck on the T-piece is too wide to fit into a standard horse blanket strap. My husband made it work by grinding down the sides of the T-piece to make it narrower.
