I am a plus sized woman that recently started shopping at Torrid. I have fallen in love with their dresses and was looking for something to wear on an upcoming trip to Hawaii. I generally don’t wear bold and bright colors but when I saw this dress I thought that the pattern would be perfect for my trip. Since I shop at Torrid I know that my Torrid size is a 2 and this dress fits accurate to size. The maxi dress is 72% viscose and 28% lyocell making it very lightweight. I have a very short torso so I love that the straps on the dress are adjustable. While I don’t have a large bust the dress fit perfectly in the bust area due to the adjustable straps and tie front. Directly below the bust line features a corseted like bodice achieved with elastic sides. From there the dress flows down to a 9 inch ruffle. My favorite thing about this dress is that it has pockets! This challis smocked sleeveless maxi dress is going to be perfect for Hawaii. It is lightweight and cute at the same time. I plan on wearing some gold flip flops to dress it down a little. Due to the material quality this dress washes and dries well.     • Very Revealing Top Keyhole That Will Not Tie Shut

The keyhole top is unable to be tied shut and is very revealing. Even wearing a plunge bra expect it to show. The keyhole area would not be able to be sewn even partially shut due to the way it is constructed. I had to buy a camisole tank to wear underneath it which is annoying and adds bulk/makes it hotter to wear. I really like the colors and print which is the only reason I decided to try to find a work around for the revealing top. The media could not be loaded. I am 5'4", about 260lbs. Bra size 44dd. This dress (size 2) fits pretty well. My only concern is I can't wear a bra with it (unless I want to show off my bra). One way or another, I will wear this dress... I just have to care less about the bra thing. Maybe I could pair it with a lightweight cardigan. The material is medium weight, heavy enough to flow nicely but light enough to wear in warm weather. The length is surprisingly perfect. As a shorter person, I was afraid it would be too long on me. I had no problems getting the keyhole tied shut, though that might have been more of a problem if I'd been wearing a good bra. The smocking on the sides is a really nice touch, added to the shape of the bodice it fits very nicely. The material is not stretchy, but the smocking really helps with that. The skirt is very full, and overall the dress is comfortable to wear. There is not a care tag anywhere on the dress. Just size and branding tags. The listing says it's washable, so I machine washed and dried it using "normal" settings (not any special hot or cold), and it came out exactly the same size and look as when it went in. ... show more
