I didn’t receive the first shipment, but it was replaced very quickly. Extremely happy with Amazon’s ability to do that. I started this type of “game” with Table Topics for our Large family gatherings . We LOVE table topics… but we got through all of the scenarios/questions fairly quickly. Do I found this! I bought Topix for my daughter who is in the hospital. Its questions are a nice way to calmly pass the time when she feels like talking. There is always more we can learn about each other and a nice, non-competitive game provides just the atmosphere for that. I look forward to sharing Topix with others and learning more about friends and family through it. The construction of the games is good, too. The box is strong and the graphic design is appealing. The cards fit in it nicely and seem sturdy. We've only had it a few days but there's nothing about them that says that they won't pass the test of time.

Love the premise and possibilities of these cards, but the questions are all closed questions. If you want to get more information, rephrase your questions asking “do you…” “when have…” as these won’t do any good if you have someone who needs more to communicate. Asking questions in this way will likely get one word, yes/no type answers. For instance, “do you meditate, or have another way to quiet your mind?” Can be answered simply as yes or no. But if you use words like, tell, share, describe, etc., you open the receiver to a deeper response. “Share how you meditate or other ways you quiet your mind.” The topics are still useful, but know if you have someone who isn’t totally interested in talking, you’re setting yourself up for a lot of one word responses unless you change the questions to open ended first.

Purchased to keep conversation going with my 13 year old son during long drives for athletic travels - worked like a charm! One single card kept us talking for an hour and a half. Not all are appropriate for parent/child conversation (at least with a young teen), but they weren't advertised to be which is a big reason we picked out this set. Any cards that didn't work for us we just skipped over, and I can use them with different audiences! I recommended this set to his entire team, all the parents thought it was a great idea. WAY better than sitting in a car for 4-5 hours with a kid playing on their phone who isn't old enough to share driving responsibility. Would highly recommend these to many different audiences, but parents of kids who travel long distances for extracurriculars especially!
