This is a heavy duty canoe motor mount bracket that will work on nearly all canoes. It's made of solid ash hardwood and is sealed with an acrylic urethane for a beautiful natural finish. Its 28" which allows the motor to have a free range of motion. Star bolts tighten the clamp bar from above and does so without any tools. Its rugged, well designed & constructed. Super easy to install, and fits perfectly on the Saranac 146. Have a minn kota 55 thrust trolling motor on it and works great.

It is made from good quality wood and fittings. My motor shaft was not long enough to reach the water. So I flipped the mounting block down. It seems to work fine in that position. But I did have to trim some wood off to make my motor fit.
