The media could not be loaded. Definitely thicker than the original tool box liner that came with my new tool chest. Also has a bumpier texture as compared to some liners that have a smoother texture. Somewhat grippier, but not by much. Slamming drawers shut will still send all your tools sliding to the rear of the drawer. As for ease of use, lays flat, and is very easy to cut with a utility knife. Other uses included sound deadening other metal boxes, such as ammo boxes; not only by putting one or more layers in the bottom, maybe even gluing the liner to the sides. Also putting some in the handle-well so when you drop the ammo box handle it doesn't make a racket. The larger idea here is using this stuff to quiet noise-makers, whatever that might be. Another possible use is gluing this liner to the bottom of metal boxes that you want to set down on softer surfaces. Not just to make impact quieter, but also less damaging. I suppose felt pads will do, but with this liner, you can cover the entire bottom of things that make contact with other surfaces besides your work bench or concrete. ... show more

This tool box liner is as good of quality as most other available. The large size makes it great for larger tool boxes. It is nice and thick and provides good cushioning for the tool box drawers. It cuts fairly easily, but does not rip or tear in the tool box.

Used this to line the drawers of my rolling tool cabinet. While it was not large enough to cover the entire surface of my particular use case, it was thick, sturdy, non-slip, yet soft to the touch. A dream for my wrenches and ratchets. The surface is not perforated, so it *should* be able to handle and catch most spills. Take your measurements and order it. I found tool box liners a while ago and use them generally around the house for loads of things. I have pieces cut to shape under phones/radios, vases, knick-knacks, etc etc. Works great to cushion & stop something from bumping or scratching a surface, helps keep something where you put it & stops things from slipping around, stays where you put it without adhesive so you can pick it up & move it anytime you want. I have a big piece on top of my washing machine as a work area. Washable, protects surfaces, great for drawer linings, under plant pots, under canisters, mixers, etc on Corian counters to prevent scratches. I also use furniture or cabinet bumpers but sometimes you just don't want the adhesive. This particular product is extremely thick & is at a great price. I have a lot of Ridgid tool boxes and I wanted to make them a little softer and quieter. This stuff. did the trick. Easy to cut to fit. Kind of grippy so things don't slide around, but best of all: Quieter! It's not really thick enough to cut individual compartments but, no complaints. 100% served my purpose! ... show more

This is great stuff for lining your tool box drawers or even to line a work bench area. I'm using it for both. My old tool boxes have seen better days and this will help bring them back to life. My work bench is just smooth wood and I'm always loosing loose screws and stuff but this textures material solves that problem and it's tough enough to withstand my abuse.
