Description

At TOMS, we believe in a better tomorrow, one where humanity thrives. To us, that means no matter who you are or where you live, you feel physically safer, mentally healthy, and have equal access to opportunities. For Every $3 Dollars we make We Give $1 Away. TOMS Shoes was founded in 2006 by Blake Mycoskie. The shoe is a unique slip-on design comprised of clean lines and lightweight fabrics in vibrant colors and prints. TOMS was founded when Blake was inspired on a trip to Argentina by the traditional, rope-soled Argentine "alpargata." He was struck by the poverty and health issues of the country, and set out to reinvent the alpargata for the U.S. market, and in doing so to accomplish one goal: Making life more comfortable for those without shoes. To realize this purpose, Blake made a commitment to match every pair of TOMS purchased with a donation of a pair to a child in need. It's simple: If you buy a pair of TOMS, the company will give a pair to someone in need on your behalf. During its first year in business, TOMS sold 10,000 pairs of shoes, and Blake returned to Argentina to lead his first annual Shoe Drop during which he donated to the children who had inspired him. TOMS Shoes are now available in multiple colors and fabric combinations for men, women and a recently introduced line for children, aptly titled Tiny TOMS.

  • NO REAL TOMS
Size: 9 Color: Black on Black
I have real Tom's and they are a size 9 (my foot size) they also don't say made in China on the inside shoe. The ones I got here say made in China in the shoe and are definitely not a size 9 as I can barely get my foot in them. Will be returning on THEIR dine or will call the bank to fight the charge for bogus TOMS! ... show more

  • How do they smell so FAST
Size: 9 Color: Black on Black
I wore these on an eight day trip to Mexico City. I had worn them only once prior to the trip to make sure they wouldn't give me blister. The fit was just right. It was the dry season, so the shoes never got wet or rained upon. It was winter, so the weather never really got above 75 degrees. So no excessive sweating per se, no moisture from the environment. Yet these shoes managed to smell so horrible at the end of the trip that I considered leaving them in the trash at my AirBnB. These are my first pair of Tom's and they were passable other than the stench. I know sweat is human and please believe me when I say I am not a squeamish person - I use natural deodorant for gosh sakes, I feel that smelling to a certain extent is acceptable. This was... beyond that extent. I packed them in my carryon to save my seatmates on the plane. So I guess consider that before purchase? ... show more

  • Swindled by ‘Some Random Seller’
The shoes I received were not up to par compared to Toms I’ve bought in the past. There were messy threads and the heels were super stiff. They were true to size but very uncomfortable. The difference in quality and comfort was more than can be attributed to ‘worn in’ shoes compared to new ones. I don't know if they were knock-offs or not but had to return them. Note: I’ve never questioned the authenticity of any shoes (and I’ve bought a lot!) purchased on Amazon and SOLD by Amazon, Zappos, etc. I purchased these on Amazon, the purchase was fulfilled by Amazon, and even though it was Amazon Prime, the SELLER wasn’t Amazon. In the future I'll use caution when buying something (especially shoes!) that says “Sold by ‘Seller Name’ and Fulfilled by Amazon”. FYI this info is usually shown near the Add to Cart button. ... show more

  • Fake Toms...
So I should have listened to everyone else's reviews but I guess for some reason I thought I would get lucky. Well I was definitely wrong. I received fake Toms. The label and the slogan inside the shoe wasn't even the same. It was honestly upsetting and the soles were not sewn in, they were actually falling out when I received them. If I wanted knock off shoes I could've easily bought them but I love the Toms brand and really thought I was getting a good deal. They came large as well but I threw them in the wash and am just going to wear them since I already spent all that money. However, I would recommend if you really want a pair of Toms shoes, go directly to a store or buy them directly from Toms to avoid anything like this happening. ... show more

  • I got real TOMS
Size: 7 Color: Black on Black Canvas
I feel awful for those that received knockoffs. I got real black on black TOMs for $30! I feel lucky! I have very wide peasant feet ( think short even length toes with a wide forefoot and skinny heel) that go between a 6.5 and 7. I also have a high arch and a ridiculously high instep(top of the foot) from a decade of pointe work in ballet. Some shoes just don’t work for my foot. These are borderline almost unwearable. I love them, they could be comfortable but the toe box squishes my toes to the point of making them go numb after 30 minutes. That’s no good. I have stuffed them to stretch them and the left shoe is perfect now. But my right foot is more muscular and defined than the left and it still has some stretching to do. The other issue I have is that this shoe just by design has a very slippery bottom. I ordered a size 7 to try and account for the narrower width and it will work once I get it more broken in but I could have gone with a 6.5 but I worry that it would have been even more squishy in the toe area. The very first time you wear them you will hate it. Wide foot or not. It’s scratchy and uncomfortable. I am not put off by TOMS just yet. I love the company mission and once broken in, the comfort and style of them. But I do wish they considered making them for wider feet so the dance of them shoe break in wasn’t so extravagant. I’m almost reminded of breaking in pointe shoes. A dancers bane. ... show more

  • Not going for a second pair - run small and no support
Size: 9.5 Color: Red Canvas
This is my first pair of Tom's and I'm somewhat confused by the rave reviews I see on Tom's products elsewhere. The red pair I bought are cute, but they are not comfortable at all. There is zip, zero, zilch support. I've bought better shoes at Big Lots and certainly cast off shoes at thrift shops. Given that I've never procured shoes directly from Tom's, I can't do a comparison to say whether this is standard quality. Again, cute if you'll be sitting all day long. Also, they feel small. 90 percent of the time, I wear a 9.5, but these were hard to get on my foot. If you are often a 9.5 but ever wear above that for any brand, I'd try to size up. If these were comfy and I were to get again, I'd pick a 10. They aren't comfy though, so I won't be buying another pair ... show more

  • Not only Fake, but a poor quality Fake
Size: 7 Color: Black
I have the original Toms in this lacey style -- they are two years old and needed replacing. Thrilled to find these, but when they arrived it was obvious they are poor quality fakes. Had they been higher-quality fakes, I might have thought about keeping them, but these are going to fall apart within a few wearings. The fakes' insoles were not stitched or even glued in and they were too big for the shoes -- I could easily remove them. Also, the soles on the fakes are rubber, not the heavy cushioned material for actual Toms. Other items that show they are fakes are the tag on the upper is slightly yellowed with the stitching much smaller than the original, and the writing on the insole is incorrect. ... show more

  • yet they looked like Toms. I wondered if they were fakes
So these came too small, different sole, different.... everything... yet they looked like Toms. I wondered if they were fakes. But maybe I just had to break them in again? I stared at the box, it looked legit, even though my old ones didn't come in a box (got them at Urban Outfitters). Something was just off, and too much of it. Then I went online and read the reviews... my hunch was right. These are fakes. I don't know how they were able to manipulate their reviews or how they're still on here, but I'm so glad I caught this in time! ... show more
