Description

Classic alpargata style, canvas upper, elastic gore for easy fit, suede footbed. TOMS Shoes was founded in 2006 by Blake Mycoskie. The shoe is a unique slip-on design comprised of clean lines and lightweight fabrics in vibrant colors and prints. TOMS was founded when Blake was inspired on a trip to Argentina by the traditional, rope-soled Argentine "alpargata." He was struck by the poverty and health issues of the country, and set out to reinvent the alpargata for the U.S. market, and in doing so to accomplish one goal: Making life more comfortable for those without shoes. To realize this purpose, Blake made a commitment to match every pair of TOMS purchased with a donation of a pair to a child in need. It's simple: If you buy a pair of TOMS, the company will give a pair to someone in need on your behalf. During its first year in business, TOMS sold 10,000 pairs of shoes, and Blake returned to Argentina to lead his first annual Shoe Drop during which he donated to the children who had inspired him. TOMS Shoes are now available in multiple colors and fabric combinations for men, women and a recently introduced line for children, aptly titled Tiny TOMS.

  • NO REAL TOMS
Size: 9 Color: Black on Black Canvas
I have real Tom's and they are a size 9 (my foot size) they also don't say made in China on the inside shoe. The ones I got here say made in China in the shoe and are definitely not a size 9 as I can barely get my foot in them. Will be returning on THEIR dine or will call the bank to fight the charge for bogus TOMS! ... show more

  • How do they smell so FAST
Size: 9 Color: Black on Black Canvas
I wore these on an eight day trip to Mexico City. I had worn them only once prior to the trip to make sure they wouldn't give me blister. The fit was just right. It was the dry season, so the shoes never got wet or rained upon. It was winter, so the weather never really got above 75 degrees. So no excessive sweating per se, no moisture from the environment. Yet these shoes managed to smell so horrible at the end of the trip that I considered leaving them in the trash at my AirBnB. These are my first pair of Tom's and they were passable other than the stench. I know sweat is human and please believe me when I say I am not a squeamish person - I use natural deodorant for gosh sakes, I feel that smelling to a certain extent is acceptable. This was... beyond that extent. I packed them in my carryon to save my seatmates on the plane. So I guess consider that before purchase? ... show more

  • I got real TOMS
Size: 7 Color: Black on Black Canvas
I feel awful for those that received knockoffs. I got real black on black TOMs for $30! I feel lucky! I have very wide peasant feet ( think short even length toes with a wide forefoot and skinny heel) that go between a 6.5 and 7. I also have a high arch and a ridiculously high instep(top of the foot) from a decade of pointe work in ballet. Some shoes just don’t work for my foot. These are borderline almost unwearable. I love them, they could be comfortable but the toe box squishes my toes to the point of making them go numb after 30 minutes. That’s no good. I have stuffed them to stretch them and the left shoe is perfect now. But my right foot is more muscular and defined than the left and it still has some stretching to do. The other issue I have is that this shoe just by design has a very slippery bottom. I ordered a size 7 to try and account for the narrower width and it will work once I get it more broken in but I could have gone with a 6.5 but I worry that it would have been even more squishy in the toe area. The very first time you wear them you will hate it. Wide foot or not. It’s scratchy and uncomfortable. I am not put off by TOMS just yet. I love the company mission and once broken in, the comfort and style of them. But I do wish they considered making them for wider feet so the dance of them shoe break in wasn’t so extravagant. I’m almost reminded of breaking in pointe shoes. A dancers bane. ... show more

  • If they’re fake, they sure fooled me!!
Size: 9 Color: Black on Black Canvas
I read some of the reviews about these being fake but I also read lots of great reviews too. So I decided to take a chance and try them out because they can easily be returned if I’m not satisfied. I am so glad I took that chance because these are perfect! I got lucky. I compared them to other TOMS that were purchased directly through their website and they seem to be real. If they’re not real, they did a good job fooling me and I’m okay with that. This review isn’t to invalidate people with negative experiences here, only to say that I think I was one of the lucky ones because these are GREAT! I recommend buying them. If they turn out to to be sucky for you, return them and get your money back. 🤷🏻♀️ ... show more

  • Not going for a second pair - run small and no support
Size: 9.5 Color: Red Canvas
This is my first pair of Tom's and I'm somewhat confused by the rave reviews I see on Tom's products elsewhere. The red pair I bought are cute, but they are not comfortable at all. There is zip, zero, zilch support. I've bought better shoes at Big Lots and certainly cast off shoes at thrift shops. Given that I've never procured shoes directly from Tom's, I can't do a comparison to say whether this is standard quality. Again, cute if you'll be sitting all day long. Also, they feel small. 90 percent of the time, I wear a 9.5, but these were hard to get on my foot. If you are often a 9.5 but ever wear above that for any brand, I'd try to size up. If these were comfy and I were to get again, I'd pick a 10. They aren't comfy though, so I won't be buying another pair ... show more

  • I'm not sure what happened?
Size: 9 Color: Black on Black Canvas
I've had multiple pairs of TOMs over the years, even had a pair that lasted me for nearly 3 years. I haven't bought TOMs in a while, but I decided to order them for the semester as I needed something that I could just slip on and take off to get to classes or work. I've had my pair for about a month, as expected they're comfortable, fit great, looked great, etc. But now as I'm approaching the exact 1 month mark, the canvas has torn around the heel. I walk a lot, i will admit it. I'm a college student with a campus job that requires me walking all over campus, I probably average around 15k steps a day, so that may be a major factor. This is just incredibly disappointing as I never had this problem as a teenager when I lived in TOMs, and was even more active then. Honestly, I don't think I'll be ordering TOMs again, I'm not sure if this was just a bad batch in terms of durability, or if the quality has just gone down over the years. If you're not going to be walking in them a lot, these will be fine. But if you're going to be moderately active in them, just skip on them for now. ... show more

  • Great Shoes!
Size: 8 Color: Black on Black Canvas
I’ve been wearing these for a few months now and they are great! Definitely one of my favorite pairs of shoes now! I was concerned about the fit but I ended up ordering a 1/2 size smaller than I usually wear and they fit well. Only took around a day or two to break them in. I’m a teacher and on my feet all day. Usually when I wear flats I get sore by the end of the day but I don’t have to worry about that when I wear these. I was putting off buying Toms because of the price tag and that they seemed flimsy fabric shoes but that is not the case! ... show more

  • Don’t do it.
Size: 8.5 Color: Black on Black Canvas
“MADE IN CHINA” these are not real Toms. I ordered a full size up from what I usually wear as I’m pregnant and they still fit very tight...and I was hoping I could slip them on; nope, I still have to fully assist them. Not the best feeling. Any way, the place you put your foot in entirely is too small and doesn’t feel forgiving, and the sole of the shoe feels like some cheap Dollar General shoe. I mean sheesh what a freakin rip off. ... show more
