Classic alpargata style, canvas upper, elastic gore for easy fit, suede footbed. with every pair of shoes you purchase, toms will give a new pair of shoes to a child in need. one for one TOMS Shoes was founded in 2006 by Blake Mycoskie. The shoe is a unique slip-on design comprised of clean lines and lightweight fabrics in vibrant colors and prints. TOMS was founded when Blake was inspired on a trip to Argentina by the traditional, rope-soled Argentine "alpargata." He was struck by the poverty and health issues of the country, and set out to reinvent the alpargata for the U.S. market, and in doing so to accomplish one goal: Making life more comfortable for those without shoes. To realize this purpose, Blake made a commitment to match every pair of TOMS purchased with a donation of a pair to a child in need. It's simple: If you buy a pair of TOMS, the company will give a pair to someone in need on your behalf. During its first year in business, TOMS sold 10,000 pairs of shoes, and Blake returned to Argentina to lead his first annual Shoe Drop during which he donated to the children who had inspired him. TOMS Shoes are now available in multiple colors and fabric combinations for men, women and a recently introduced line for children, aptly titled Tiny TOMS.

The shoes I received were not up to par compared to Toms I’ve bought in the past. There were messy threads and the heels were super stiff. They were true to size but very uncomfortable. The difference in quality and comfort was more than can be attributed to ‘worn in’ shoes compared to new ones. I don't know if they were knock-offs or not but had to return them. Note: I’ve never questioned the authenticity of any shoes (and I’ve bought a lot!) purchased on Amazon and SOLD by Amazon, Zappos, etc. I purchased these on Amazon, the purchase was fulfilled by Amazon, and even though it was Amazon Prime, the SELLER wasn’t Amazon. In the future I'll use caution when buying something (especially shoes!) that says “Sold by ‘Seller Name’ and Fulfilled by Amazon”. So I should have listened to everyone else's reviews but I guess for some reason I thought I would get lucky. Well I was definitely wrong. I received fake Toms. The label and the slogan inside the shoe wasn't even the same. It was honestly upsetting and the soles were not sewn in, they were actually falling out when I received them. If I wanted knock off shoes I could've easily bought them but I love the Toms brand and really thought I was getting a good deal. They came large as well but I threw them in the wash and am just going to wear them since I already spent all that money. However, I would recommend if you really want a pair of Toms shoes, go directly to a store or buy them directly from Toms to avoid anything like this happening. ... show more

Okay I was very very hesitant on buying these due to the reviews I was reading, but I had to take the chance. Let me tell you I seen photos of the review on this shoes &from my experience of shopping on Amazon &fellow sales ive had my bad and great service/products. This shoe is far from messy or the material is filmsy well its not I was shocked to receive it in a perfectly TOMS official box &I have had Tom's before always love them. So by actually looking at it &I order a size 6 before I had ordered a 61/2 because I have wide feet but I had to down a size. The 6 is perfect length the width is a little snug but its a new pair so I expect it to be little snug, well ill b wearing this to strectch them out alil so they'll fit perfectly . Great quality, Clean, &price is about right. Definitely expect me buying more ... show more

I had tried hard to not buy these shoes from Amazon because I’d read so many reviews of people getting fake shoes. I ordered directly from Toms in California and they cancelled my order. I needed the shoes for travel so I bought them from Amazon. I got a great tip from a reviewer to check carefully who your specific seller is, where they ship from, if they photos show the blue label, etc. . I did this and got real Toms. I have had many pairs of Tom’s over the years. These are the first pair that fell apart in the first few months (purchased in August, had holes in them by October). I've had a ton of Toms over the years, and I've always been very happy with them. I wear a 10, ordered a 10 and they fit perfect. I can get no-show foot covers on with them but not socks. I find them to be extremely comfortable to walk in, even right out of the box. I have lots of flats that give me back pain after walking in them too long, but I've never had that issue with Toms. I love the black on black look of these. I wear them to work when I've been having trouble with my other flats, and they look fairly professional. I am an ex Ferragamo addict. My husband used to say our net worth was in my shoe closet. Now it's Tom's shoes. Not only are they extremely comfortable for everyday wear, they've become my walking shoes for my 2 mile daily walk. The only problem is that they are not made for heavy use. For the price I can afford to toss them after the soles wear out. Still, they are very durable plus I can throw them in the laundry without problem! The Best!!! ... show more
