These are decently comfortable shoes, and they are a classic style that is attractive and understated. The footbed is padded, and they feel comfortable to walk in. They fit true to size for a medium-width foot. The bottom of the shoe is made with a nice tread, so they are not slippery. I would consider this a style that is between casual and dressy. The white on the bottom of the shoe gives these a casual feel, but the classic black upper looks more like a dress shoe. The PU leather material for the upper is a bit hard and stiff, and I don't like that it is not real leather. This seems unusual for a men's shoe, and these are the only shoes that I own that are not real leather. I expect that they will last for a season or two, but not much longer, considering that premium materials are not being used in the construction of these shoes. They are made for looks, not longevity. This surprises me since I had always equated the Tommy Hilfiger brand with good quality. At the current price of $61.31, they are a fair value, but I'd say that in choosing these, one is paying for the name and style, not the quality in this case. ... show more

My taste in shoes is more European, I ordered the Tommy Hilfiger Hitcher in Cognac color (what other brands may call Tobacco) it's a sharp-looking shoe that strikes a nice balance between casual and dressy. It pairs well with jeans, or other semi casual pants, as well as a dressier pant when appropriately color combined. It's a versatile option for dinners, work, or other occasions where you want to look a little more polished. The faux leather looks surprisingly good and feels sturdy rather than thin or plasticky. A minor concern is the white portion of the sole—it looks great when new but will likely show dirt and scuffs over time, I will clean it when that day arrives. It's very comfortable with a roomy fit, the memory foam cushioning is soft and supportive, and I was able to wear them right out of the box without any break-in period. They stayed comfortable all day with no rubbing or pressure points. I like the style, it feels well made, and are easy to combine with a variety of garments, For the price, they offer an excellent combination of comfort, style, and value. I recently picked up the Tommy Hilfiger Hitcher shoes, and I couldn’t be happier with my purchase. These shoes strike the perfect balance between dressy and casual, making them incredibly versatile.     • Comfortable leather shoes, not exactly my style

I ended up with these because my wife decided I needed something a little nicer than the usual shoes I wear. I tend to stick with more practical stuff, but these are meant to land somewhere between casual and business, so I figured I’d give them a fair shot. The materials seem pretty solid. The leather looks good and feels like decent quality, not thin or plasticky. They’ve got a mostly plain brown leather look, which keeps them from being too flashy. Overall they look fine for something you’d wear out to dinner or to a slightly dressier event. One design choice I’m not crazy about is the partially white sole. It looks good when it’s brand new, but I already know that’s not going to stay clean for long. White soles tend to pick up scuffs and dirt pretty quickly, especially if you’re actually wearing the shoes instead of just keeping them for special occasions. Style-wise, they’re not really my personal taste. Like I said, my wife picked them out. To me they’re a little on the goofy side, but I’ve definitely seen worse out there. They land somewhere in that middle ground where you could wear them with nicer jeans or maybe something slightly more dressed up. Comfort is actually pretty good though. They were roomier than I expected, which was a nice surprise. I didn’t have to deal with much of a break-in period either. The soles are fairly soft compared to the shoes I usually wear, so they felt comfortable right from the start. Ease of use is simple—just normal lace-up shoes, nothing complicated. They go on easily and haven’t given me any rubbing or pressure spots so far. For the money, they seem like a reasonable value if you’re looking for a leather shoe that sits between casual and dressy. The materials feel decent and they’re comfortable enough to wear for longer stretches. I picked these up because I wanted something that looked a bit more professional than my usual sneakers for work but still felt good on my feet. Very attractive shoe that straddles being dress up and dress down. The light soles keep it from being full dress but are definitely more elevated looking than a sneaker. They are comfortable according to my husband and he's picky. He has foot issues with his arch and these didn't bother him. He wore them without issue all evening.
