    • UPDATE: two shelves sent and can’t setup either because they are defective!
UPDATE: I reached out to amazon since I can’t find a way to contact the seller. I was sent another shelf and guess what?! The screw holes DONT match up on this one either. This would be an easy fix if I could just drill my own holes to secure the board to the legs but unfortunately, the pre-drilled female holes on the boards have a metal threaded cap inside for the screw to fit into. This means the minor offset I would need to drill my own hole into is metal, not the wood board, making drilling my own just as much of a pain. Just don’t buy these! Was excited for this to finally arrive and the screw holes on the legs don’t even match up to the holes on the shelf boards. Didn’t match up on even one shelf. ... show more

    • Nice little bookshelf for the money, but hard to build
I like the way the bookshelf looks and it seems sturdy enough, but it was very hard to put together. The holes in the legs and the shelves don't match up well and I actually had to use a rubber mallet to force the frame into a position that would allow me thread the last bolt. The back braces were so far off from fitting the legs that I had to bend the metal to make it work. Took about an hour (and a lot of foul language) to get this tiny bookcase together. Once together it looks and functions as a bookcase should--it's level and close to square. ... show more

This shelf is great! It's great quality for the price and the rustic look is asthetically pleasing to the eye. I was concerned only because noted previous reviewers stated screws weren't long enough so they couldn't actually set all the shelves. I am chalking it up to user error. Because everything fit together perfectly if you apply the correct screws to where they should go... My only tip to get that extra stability and balance is align the shelves with the frame, a picture for reference. ... show more

    • Manufacturer Flaws, will not properly assemble.
I bought this book shelf because it matched a desk we bought for our office (same MDF coloring and same iron/metal legs), the price was reasonable, and previous reviews said it was very easy to put together... WELL, I think the manufacturer had a bad batch of materials. This was extremely frustrating and a waste of time. I spent 2-3 hours trying to put together when this should have easily been a 20-30 min job max. After I unsuccessfully put in the time, my husband tried to help and he spent about an additional two hrs, before giving up. Basically the screws are BARELY long enough to reach the shelves AND there is at least one screw hole that doesn't link up on EACH shelf, making it unsturdy and not a reliable book shelf to place anything on. I am also annoyed because I already threw away the box and I don't feel like I should have to make the drive to return the product when my husband and I have already wasted several hours of our time. After the fact, I looked on the listing and saw that several other people have very recently had the same issue, making me think there was a major quality control issue with the materials from the manufacturer.     • Nice unit, easy to assemble, attractive
This shelving unit is attractive and easy to assemble. The long screws provided however weren't quite long enough for several of the wood shelf holes and therefore cannot be screwed in. We like the unit and plan to find longer screws. Not a big deal and the quality is good otherwise. We are using it as a printer stand (top shelf) and have books on bottom shelves.     • Bolts are too short - Impossible to assemble
This shelf would be great, but the bolts included are TOO SHORT to catch. Only 5 of the 12 are just barely long enough to screw into the shelf. The others are not long enough. I cannot put this shelf together. I'm going to try to get the company to send me replacement bolts that are long enough.     • Probably wouldn’t purchase again
I like the look of the shelves. I bought 2 of them. However 3 of the screws would not go in the holes. The nuts are embedded in the shelves and that does add some sturdiness to it. But, one of the nuts was pushed all the way into the hole and the screw never would catch on it. On the second shelf the nuts were slightly larger then the screws, on 2 of the holes, they and would never tighten. On the second shelf, I noticed after it was assembled, that the screw holes for the back brace were drilled on both sides of the shelf. Not thrilled about having open screw holes showing on the front of the shelf or that 3 of the shelf screws won’t go in. ... show more
