Scent Review. just giving my honest thoughts. Not worth $200+ cologne. The scent honestly smells like someone just walked in after smoking a cigar. The scent does last a whole day which is good if it smelled better. I'm not a smoker but I did get compliments such as what cigars are you into or I didn't know you smoked. Not the type of compliments you want to receive. I'm disappointed in the fact that they don't allow you to do a return or exchange for a different fragrance. I've been wearing Tom Ford's Tobacco and Vanille for about 3 years now. I've bought both in the store and online. My previous purchase just recently ran out and I bought the 100ML bottle here and was overwhelmed by the scent. After close comparison with a purchase on another site, it's obvious that my previous bottle was not authentic. The potency of this bottle lasted nearly 24hrs. At first, I used the sample of this fragrance. It was sitting in my room for so long, I never bothered to try it since I use also fragrance oils. Once I applied it, I loved the scent and also the way it smells throughout the day as it fades and adjusts to my skin chemistry. The scent is so memorable and alluring to me that I decided to look for a more long-lasting volume. I looked on Sephora primarily to purchase, but I ended up finally purchasing from Amazon because you get more value for your money in terms of price/mL. The product I received didn't disappoint. It's exactly the same as the sample size I got from Sephora. I even get compliments on this fragrace from my children who are accustomed to making fun of me. ... show more

The top review on here says this is a fake. Apparently their package has the batch code knifed out on the box. Mine did not. That review also claims that tobacco oud was discontinued prior to its batch date of 2021 (A21 batch code). The bottle I got is also A21. I know the tobacco oud discontinuation was announced in 2020 but I cannot find any info anywhere, including talking to a Tom Ford rep at Bloomingdale's, about when the last bottling was. In all other respects this passed the authenticity test. The smell is faithful to the original, whiskey top note with sweet cigar tobacco on the dry down. Even though Tom Ford is one of the most counterfeited fragrances in the market because the packaging is easy to mimic, there are a few tells even of the good ones. If you take it the atomizer top, authentic TF has all plastic atomizer components while the fakes will have a metal atomizer base. Authentic TF also has plastic coating all around the inside of the atomizer cap and so did the bottle I got. I'm so convinced this is the real deal that I ordered a second bottle before writing this review because I didn't want it to sell out. These might be the last few bottles of tobacco oud ever and it might be my favorite scent of all time so I had to get a second. ... show more
