My two year old recently decided that he was done with the booster seat we've been using. He wants to sit at the table like everyone else. Problem is he's a little short for the table and so he struggles to eat at meal time. He really doesn't like feeling restrained, so this pad was an amazing option. He is kind of able to get up himself, with a little more practice he'll be great at it. He can definitely get down on his own, but if he isn't careful he has hit his head on the table on his way down. He is also obsessed with cars and trucks so the construction vehicle pattern on the fabric makes him SO HAPPY! Other notes: set up was super easy, bands are long enough to accommodate most chairs. Nice sturdy foam, cute design, nice fabric. Took a couple days to fully expand, but it did. Was a bit smaller than I thought, but I have fairly wide chairs. Would definitely buy again and recommend.
