Item weight approximately 2.5lbs. Weights are equally spaced out around your wrist. These gloves are perfect for armatures or the average boxer to assist with his hand speed and build the deltoids and shoulder muscles for muscular endurance. Often new boxers get tired and lower their hands. These gloves assist you in building those muscles that provide support for longer rounds and a better workout. I strongly recommend you download a free timer on your phone and do 1 minute rounds. Practice your combos over and over utilizing these gloves for about 2 weeks. Then switch to regular boxing gloves. I assure you you will not drop your hands if you take that training serious. Go back on them from time to time to build your stamina. Don’t try to kill the heavy bag while utilizing these gloves. That’s not what these are for. Strongly recommend these gloves! These are my third pair! Combine with the moisture absorbing inserts that soak up your sweat and prevent glove order caused by bacteria. Inwouldnt recommend these gloves are great but very very soft to the punch when hitting the bag ots hard ti do punching bag work cause these gloves are way too soft i get what there trynna do with the air flow threw the gloves but i been hitting bags for 10 years and having impact from hands to bag really makes a difference these gloves just have too much bounce and softness to them ... show more

according to the description these gloves are 14oz for small/medium and 16oz for large/extra-large (even though there is no size option) and 8oz per weight which there are 6 of. That comes out to 4 pounds per glove seeing that what is listed and received says LARGE. Now the description pulls a copout by saying "approximately" 3.25lb per glove (explain that math please?). But according to my business grade shipping scale they are 3.09lb fully loaded. We live in a digital age you can be accurate; the weights are 6oz each and the gloves are 12oz. When you sell something as weighted accuracy in measuring weight needs to be a thing. I have been through several pairs of weighted gloves, the last pair I modified to get them to almost exactly 4lbs, but I have worn them out and was thrilled to find a pair that was around 4 right out of the box (or plastic ziplock bag as these came in). It is true, as a weighted glove it is not 5 pounds. I am an advanced shadow boxer so weight is imperative in my workout. I used to hold 5 pound weights but would get close to hitting my nose which made me switch to gloves, and i am very happy i did. This glove has an elastic band between the thumb and the fingers. A Straight weigh of at least 2 pounds fits perfectly and comfortably gives you 5 pounds even more. I even have put in 4 pound straight weights and can really get an amazing work out on the mirror with instruction. Body bar weights work the best. Hard to het a weight with a bulb at the end into it. I am 64 years old and a bad shoulder, but i am now ripped since doing this starting July. Solid product an d worth the price. ... show more

I understand these are meant to get tore up via training, but at least give me a chance to tear them up myself, the weight housing was torn through and scuffed up brand new from packaging... and it's not like it's hard to notice before shipping out, as it's the absolute first thing I saw upon opening it up. I'm sure they'll work fine, but for $80, and the awful experience I had with their taller boots coming apart, I think I might be done with title products. ... show more
