Thursday was built out of our own frustration. Clunky work boots or delicate fashion boots? Cheap shoes that fall apart after a few wears, or shoes that were incredibly overpriced? It didn't seem right that we had to make these trade-offs. There had to be another option. We started Thursday to offer an alternative: ridiculously high-quality footwear at honest prices that could handle our busy lives in New York City. Straight out of the box, you can smell the freshness of these hand crafted, small batch boots. Color is exactly like the picture. I was a little worried about sizing but after reading other reviews, ordering a half size down was perfect. (I wear a size 12 in vans, ordered 11.5). I'm usually not much of a Thursday Boot Co. fan; I'm a Red Wing guy all the way. However, after seeing some great reviews of this moc toe on Stridewise's and Rose Anvil's YouTube channels, and looking at the price point, I snagged these in burnt copper. Let me tell you: hands down now my favorite boot. Took maybe a day and a half to break in. In the first three days after I got them, I put on 19 miles on these babies. Comfortable as hell now. I am going to be wearing these in the summer, too, with shorts. Very nice, slim profile toe box. Order a half size down from your sneaker size. I am a 12 in running shoes, got the 11.5 and it's perfect. I highly recommend this boot. This, like all TBC boots, while it says it's a regular width (D), it's actually in between a D and an E. Perfect for my foot. I had the Captains and loved them. Wore them for a year, but ended up selling them and got a pair of Red Wing Weekender Chukkas. This moc toe is handsome and extremely comfortable. The sole and in-sole are amazing; almost like Nike Airs. In comparison to my Red Wing Iron Rangers, which are a nice stiff ride, these moc toes are like walking on air. Highly recommended! Great leather smell out of the box too. Just a solid, spot-on boot. Get this instead of the Red Wing mocs; the price and craftsmanship are worth it. And w/a slimmer profile toe box, they can be dressed up. ... show more

This is my 2nd pair of Thursday boots. I bought Captains about 3 years ago and those look (and feel) better today than when I got them. So, I thought I'd try another pair that was a little more casual. I've had these Diplomats for a couple of weeks now and they broke in very quickly. They are already getting an interesting sheen/patina. The copper color is really complex and beautiful. Looking forward to wearing these for years to come. ... show more

I would like them better if they had a gusset on the tongue to prevent the tongue from slipping to the side and causing the laces to loosen, even with a square knot. The fit is good (size 11D) and the comfort is decent with a harder insole and leather lining.

Amazon stated that size 11 was recommended for me. Reviews said to size down a half a size. I normally wear 11.5 in everything. The size 11 I ordered is uncomfortably tight on the width of the toes but the length is okay. I’m hoping that once they wear in they will fit better. I am within the first week of wear and the break in period is still pretty tight. As of right now, I wish I had ordered my normal size and not sized down. ... show more
