Thursday was built out of our own frustration. Clunky work boots or delicate fashion boots? Cheap shoes that fall apart after a few wears, or shoes that were incredibly overpriced? It didn't seem right that we had to make these trade-offs. There had to be another option. We started Thursday to offer an alternative: ridiculously high-quality footwear at honest prices that could handle our busy lives in New York City. Welp, in short, they rock. It took much longer to break in than my Thursday Captain boots. The Diplomat’s steel shank under the arch rides a bit high until you’ve put some miles in them. Then things seem to settle down. I wear them four or five days a week. I’ve walked as far as seven miles in them without any shin splints, aches or pains. (I’m at the age where those things happen if you don’t have good shoes.) Now for the big issue. Size. I did return the first pair, because they were too big. I should have listened to others. What your foot measures at a shoe store on a Branick Device is what you should order. They’re still a bit loose if I don’t tighten up on the laces, but they have not stretched at all and are very comfortable once broken in. I tried to capture them in a couple of different lights in the photos. They really do have an awesome color and patina. I’ve never had people say they liked my boots before. It’s happened a few times wearing these. Great casual boots, especially for the price. ... show more

These are nicely made! Very detailed and look sharp. My gf was very surprised! They are true to size. I have room to wear thicker socks or put a different insole if I want to. I like them, they are comfortable, and I am happy with them. But they don’t look like boots. They fit, feel, and look more like leather hi-top Chuck Taylors than work boots. They have a strong leather smell like walking into a leather shop. I like this - if you don’t like the leather smell you might not. The “Rugged and Resilient” leather is supposed to be treated like nubuck leather - brush don’t polish. ... show more

Amazon stated that size 11 was recommended for me. Reviews said to size down a half a size. I normally wear 11.5 in everything. The size 11 I ordered is uncomfortably tight on the width of the toes but the length is okay. I’m hoping that once they wear in they will fit better. I am within the first week of wear and the break in period is still pretty tight. As of right now, I wish I had ordered my normal size and not sized down. ... show more

Very high quality leather. Quality construction, very well made. It's leather so it's gonna scuff a little, but the more you wear them the better they look. They're extremely comfortable to wear & I'm wear them all day every day & the weight is what you'd expect it to be from a well made boot like this. They've done fine when I've been caught in the rain but I wouldn't recommend getting this type of leather wet or submerged so not waterproof & I wouldn't expect them to be. I've had the burnt cooper for exactly 1 year & the Arizona adobe are new & need to be broken in. Highly functional boots & 1 year in no quality issues at all. ... show more

These boots are great! The quality is as good as any other boots that cost much more. They’re very comfortable out of the box too. I can tell that they’re going to break in nicely in just a few wears.

I read all the reviews and bought the right size so I thought. I read, it took a couple of weeks to break in. Since I received them they have hurt my big toes. I thought that would go away ones I broke them in. Well i have worn them for about two months now and they never felt good or stretched out enough to feel comfortable. The length was good just the width was not. The leather is nice but very tough and thick and not very flexible. Looks like good quality but I would never buy again. ... show more
