The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because even straight out of the box the sheets aren't black but more of a deep navy blue. The sheets themselves though are extremely soft for cotton sheets and the color does not bleed in the wash. Good sheets for the price.

I have spent easily 6-7 hundred on sheets over the last 2 years. Every choice I made was horrible experience. I saw these sheets, carefully read the reviews and thought oh well, I have to keep trying. I washed the set ASAP and I am absolutely thrilled. High quality elasticity holds the sheets in place. I just opened these up today and the smell was terrible right out of the box. Absolutely terrible. I can't even pinpoint what it was because I have never smelled anything like it. No visible stains so I tossed them right in the wash and hopefully that will get rid of the odor. On the positive side, the color was true to the product image, they felt nice, and the quality of the sewing and fabric seemed good. Update 8/28/23: Washing did the trick, no more smell. It has not been easy finding the kind of sheets I wanted, but I think these are going to be fine. My mattress sits on an adjustable base and is only 9" thick for flexibility when I raise the upper part to improve my respiration at night or in the daytime I often elevate the foot end to help improve the blood flow in my feet and legs. Most of the newer mattresses seem to be much thicker, so the fitted bottom sheets I've tried have not been snug enough to stay tucked under my mattress. These actually fit very nicely. I also prefer just a bit of crispness in the fabric to keep it from shifting around when I turn over. These cotton sheets have enough body but are also very soft and skin friendly. Another thing I very much appreciate is the ample length to tuck under at the bottom so it stays put when the mattress is elevated at either end. These sheets were well packaged and smooth on arrival. I laundered them and then dried the bottom one separately from the top for 30 min. each on med heat. I took each one straight from the dryer and put them on the bed. No wrinkles at all! I did find it a little tedious having to trim off the thread tails on every single seam before they went into the washer, but this seems to be an issue with most new bed linens these days. I have new rigid vinyl flooring and ordered the tan option to coordinate. It is a rich color, not too dark or light, and with a soft sheen to make it easy on the eyes. ... show more

These sheets are nice and exactly what I needed, and first bought just one set to see if they would work, and quickly bought a second set the dark grey looks really nice and goes with many other colors as well. These fit well and better than the last sheets I bought that never fit! My mattress is 10in and these have enough material and stretch to fit well. Good price for what you get and well worth the price. To keep wrinkles away just dry like it says and promptly fold these right out of the dryer or they will wrinkle like anything else if you roll them into a ball and not take care of them. These sheets have a nice feel to them and fit well at corners over my Tempur-Pedic Breeze mattress. However, the fabric quickly stretches after one night and becomes "sloppy" and difficult to smooth when making the bed in the morning.
