I have been a mechanical/electrical technician for over 20 years, have spent several thousand dollars on boots in my lifetime . From cheapest to extremely high dollar...... I am always in different environments... Ranging from (- 20) degrees blast freezers., food processing plants, wet, oily, corrosive places to extremely clean pharmaceutical production...I go through a pair of boots every 8 to 12 months.... .. These boots are by far the best, most comfortable, durable and economically priced boots I have ever worn. This will be my 4th purchase of these boots... Granted they are NOT made to for continual use in extremely wet environments...but are water resistant.. Most people's back and feet ache because the need to eat correctly, exercise, loose weight and make regular visits to the chiropractor.... Not because of the boot.. ... show more

While they look nice and semi comfortable, they do not hold up. I have not had these boots for a year yet and I do minimal straining work in them, however there is a hole all the way through the shoe big enough for a golf ball to fit through.

Great boot, I work at a power plant and put many miles on boots every night. The boots feel great and conform to my foot which is a must for the amount of miles I walk. The sole provides ample amount of protection, and the boot is made to protect your feet. The top of the boot was a little uncomfortable until after the break in period of about three days. Update: After almost six months of use and abuse the boots are still performing well and have no visible signs of sticking coming apart or sole. This boots are definitely a buy.     • A lot heavier than they look

These boots look amazing but so far or not my favorite. My toes are tight together compared to most other people‘s toes that are loosely packed in there boot. So these boots in the toe and work well for me. The other end as far as the hill goes are very tight and stiff. I am still breaking them in so it could very well get better but as of right now they are stiff and rub my ankle weird. For the arch support I would say that they’re no better or worse than an average boot. These boots by far look great and I do like the extra rubber support on the toe in the heel I believe that will help with the wear-n-tear. The height of these boots is what attracted me in the first place. Overall I would give these boots a 3.75 out of 5. ... show more

I get these shoes every year, however I got these November 3rd, It is now December 7th and they have already split, you can see my sock. All I've done is house rough ins and finishes.. haven't really done anything hard.

Purchased first pair for my botfriend at a shoe store. He had them for 2 1/2 years. The cushion in these boots are like walking on a memory foam mattress all day. No aching feet after walking all day in these on Cement. No shin splints. No tearing. Sole lasts forever. Nothing but comfort, support and protection all day. Well worth the money. Bought him the second pair here on Amazon after he tried another brand and all I heard was complaining. PROBLEM SOLVED FOR THE BOTH OF US! HA!!!!! Highly recommend boots... Best way to keep him happy and you sane..... ... show more

Love the comfort from day one. Look and feel amazing I have planters foot so the support and cushioned shock heal help more than any boot I've tried. I am an electrician working in powder coating factory walking on concrete all day. Light weight, comfort and protection is a must. And I got it. Thank you Thorogood and the ones who sell them.
