The canvas itself is pretty sturdy, though the strap itself is a little too thin, and not as long as I thought it would be. Mine came with the inside pocket sewn in backwards so I'm unable to use those compartments. Other than that it's ok.

I got the canvass beige, it’s sturdy once you fill it. I use it for my book, electronics and documents. Fits a small laptop, manilla folders. Inside has a couple side pockets. Overall, great bag, lots of uses. Good quality and value!

Unless you sent the wrong size and I didn’t see another option for a different size, you’d have to put the iPad in sideways to make it fit which is not the way it was suggested in the ad.
