Haven’t even finished this book yet and already it’s a lifesaver! I am pregnant with my first child and with soooo many opinions and information out there- it’s hard to just get the basic questions answered. This book has all of that and so much more! It is clear and concise without much opinion in it- which I personally feel I need right now. I bought this book to catch myself up to speed on my family members and friends who are having kids. I am not expecting yet, but do plan on having kids sometime in the future and this has been helpful for gaining more information and may help with making the decision on if having a baby is right for you (coupled with the pregnancy version in the series). This book is wonderful for beginning your research into babies and what it’s like to become a caretaker of a bundle of joy. It skips no steps and even starts out from the very beginning including how babies are made. This book is more of a quick overview and doesn’t dive deep, but can be helpful for pointing out areas of interest for you to research in more depth on your own and through other resources. They also include recommendations on common baby registry items. I didn’t necessarily agree with or like specific brand recommendations, but I found them to be a personal preference issue rather than anything more substantial. If you are overwhelmed with putting items together for a baby registry their recommendations are a good start. ... show more
