The Classic Italian Rainbow Cakebites are my new favourite food. I've ordered them twice so far, and the second time I did, I had them opened and a cakebite was in my mouth before the delivery truck had even pulled out of the driveway. Maybe I sound like a real gluttonous pig, but it's true. These things are PHENOMENAL. First, here's some information copied from the packaging to help with your decision-making: INGREDIENTS: Enriched Wheat Flour, Sugar, Palm Oil, Eggs, Invert Sugar, Palm Kernel and Hydrogenated Palm Oil, Cocoa, Cocoa Processed with Alkali, Sorbitol, High Fructose Corn Syrup, Natural & Artificial Flavors (Contains Milk), Whey, Salt, Cassava Starch, Glycerol, Yellow 5, Yellow 6, Red 3, Red 40, Blue 1, Pectin, Citric Acid, Sorbitan Tristearate, Soy Lecithin, Sodium Propionate, Potassium Benzoate, Gum Arabic. CONTAINS: WHEAT, EGG, SOY & MILK. PROCESSED IN A PLANT THAT ALSO PROCESSES PEANUTS & TREE NUTS. Nutrition Facts: Serving Size 1 package (57g), Calories: 270, Total Fat 15g (Sat. The most recent order I placed arrived July 18th, and the cakebites I received have a stamped best by date of Nov 20th, of the same year (to give you an idea of the shelf life.) I don't know much about Italian desserts, but I can tell you that as someone with a German heritage, these things are right up my alley. They taste more like a traditional German or Dutch food to me than anything else I've found on Amazon. Incredible strong almond-y, marzipan tasting cake, with a thin chocolate coating. The cakes I've received have been moist and fresh. Make sure if you order them in the summer and live in a hot area, to rescue your shipment from the outside heat right away when they arrive to prevent the chocolate and sprinkles from melting and deforming the cakes. (Don't worry- they still taste amazing if they're deformed or mashed.) Seriously, my new favourite dessert and snack food.

Delivery: I got these with one day shipping, and they arrived with some other items I bought. Well packed, nothing damaged, sealed. I actually considered for a minute to not open them and give them away as a gift but naaah I really wanted these. But if you wish to gift, the box is nice and Christmas-y Best by date: May 5th 2020. Taste: God, these are it. They’re fresh, moist, not dried out or crumbly. Wish I could put the scent in a candle jar. These little petit fours are simply divine and taste great for being pre-packaged pastries. Could be bought in a bakery. Of course, if you’re looking for something flawless and more fancy, then check out an actual bakery. Overall, if you’re just craving something sweet and cake-like, and they’re for yourself or the fam, or share among friends, these are ideal. Price: Based on quantity of what you get, these where a kinda overpriced for me. They were 8.00 when I purchased yesterday. I would have priced these for no more than 6 dollars. Maybe 6.49, tops. If they were 6.00, I’d definitely buy them again. Plus I want to try the other flavors and I’ll do reviews on those too. But for now I’ll have to see if someone else sells them cheaper.

I order these once a year for my birthday since I'm pretty much alone in the world and do not want to make my own birthday cakr, nor do I need a whole cake all at once. These used to be a nice size, but this year they are like half a bite - really, not much bigger than a candy truffle. Very disappointed. Taste great, but what a tiny taste. Price went up, size went down. If I see another birthday next year, I'm gonna get a cake instead. Bye bye!
