This bag is so durable. It went through a lot and still looked new. I'm guessing all north face bags are tough coz I'm amazed by how strong my trolley too. Anyway, if this bag is stuffed and full to the brim, some airlines may not accept it as carry on. Mine got checked in.

Has this bag for 8 years now. Been to the Açores, Afghanistan, and just about everywhere in-between. Doesn't matter if I'm on a deployment or a dive boat. This bag is perfect. Still looks nearly new, even after all these years. And trust me, military life isn't easy on a bag. The water resistance is absolutely great. Not just for keeping water out, but also for keeping water IN! What do I mean? After a dive in the ocean, pack all your gear back in this bag, zip the flap back up while leaving a 2-inch gap in the zipper, and stick a freshwater hose into the bag and let run for 10 minutes. Come back, slosh the bag side to side, and let it run for another 5 minutes. And, presto, all your gear is rinsed free of salt and cleaned! Also comes in handy for keeping wet gear from soaking your car/plane/camel on the ride back home. I own a few now. ... show more

The size is smaller than my others, the shape is different, the material is different and the straps are different. DO NOT purchase from this vendor, it is not the original.
