They run pretty big, but that's standard for "The Children's Place" jeans. I ordered these even though I'm 17, because I'm small for my age and these are better quality than I can easily find elsewhere. I order size 14 on all "The Children's Place" jeans, and it works out fine. They have a nice, high waistband. However, even though it says "skinny jeans," they are boot-cut, but because of the stretchy fabric it's not too big around the ankles.

I bought these in two different sizes and styles. We loved the feel and fit of the lightwash, with the exception of the 4slim. We couldn't get my kids foot thru the opening, it was extremely small (seriously 2" opening) and no stretch. Unfortunately we returned those. Had the opening been slightly bigger they would have fit perfectly. Which is a shame. The larger size didn't have that issue so maybe they were defective? Idk. But the 8slim fit great with no issues. I've been looking for tall jeans for my kid with not much luck since she's still a 5t/6 in waist but super long legs. The 8slim worked great and a little room for growth. The dark wash is a completely different material, more scratchy Jean feel than the soft leggings. Fit was ok, much looser than the others and not quite as long, they do have the inside tabs so it will work just not as good of a fit as the lighter jeans. Overall great for kids.

These are amazing. For a tall slim 12yr old its hard to find pants that have the length but aren't insanely wide at the waist. She would normally wear size 12. We purchased the size 14 slim. And it was perfect!! No tightening at the waist needed and no high waters. She has a name brand pair we found that fit very similar to these (but need to be tightened a bit at the waist) and they were 35$. So for 16.99 we both are extremely happy with this purchase and will be buying more.
