    • Hard to find school shorts for older kids

We ordered these because they’re the best option we could find, but my daughter doesn’t really like the way they fit. She’s in 9th grade (5’5”ish and about 125#) but it’s nearly impossible to find shorts that meet school requirements in Juniors or adult sizes so we have to order the largest kid size available. She had to make the adjustable waistband as small as it would go so they feel kind of wrinkled at the waist. Wish some company would make clothes for high schoolers who still have to follow a dress code. Or just regular people who don’t want their cheeks and belly hanging out. 🙄 At any rate, these are the ones we’ve been buying for years and they hold up well and are not too expensive. ... show more

I have a 6 year old who is tall and skinny, 45 lbs, but about 46 inches. Her waist is probably closer to a size 5 so the slim option and the buttons are a must. We have tried 5 other brands and this one is the best fitting slim we could find. If you have a tall skinny kid you need these! We do have to use the elastic but they don’t seemed as bunched because they are already slim fitting so no super bulky bands coming out the sides. They are wrinkly so you they don’t air dry well. I have found if you air dry, then run for a few minutes to get the wrinkles out after drying to help prevent fading and shrinking in the clothes so they look better longer. ... show more

Tried two sizes and neither worked. Got a 12—way too tight. Tried a 14—way too big. Wow. My daughter is really skinny, so it’s not like we’re in between sizes. The fit is just all over the place.
