Got this for my son 5 y.o. on the tall side. Not much stretch on the waist as I expected. Bought a 7 (hoping to get some use out of it) but it fits more like a 6 compared to other brands. Good length and quality. Washes well. And trust me they get washed a lot as we use these as uniform shorts.

Always love Children's place but I must have messed up size somehow because these are huge. I kept because he'll grow into them. For reference my son is 7 and about 65 lbs. If I buy Walmart uniform shorts I buy him large. Hope this helps because they are good quality comfortable shorts!
