I know that I need to learn how to read this small print so in time, I may accomplish this. For right now, I need to do a lot of studying to succeed at this . A warning: The print in the book is so tiny and blurry, I can hardly read it. But after relaxing and not using my eyeglasses, I'm beginning to be able to read it but it's still blurry. However, it less blurry than when I started. So after I accomplish reading this clearly, I will enter another review. This is an add on review. I've had the book for a few months and when I first opened the book, the print was too tiny for me to see. After exercising my eyes as it suggested in other books and then returning to read the tiny print, I can now see the tiny print and I can read it. I am amazed. Following Dr Bates method does work for me and I'm so amazed that I can actually see the fine print. I had to learn some of the methods on youtube and then after doing that, I can now read the book and learn from it as well. There are many tips in getting your eyesight back. Wearing eyeglasses does not help your vision. So I took off my eyeglasses and only use it when I have to read something I can't see. Dry eyes are better, vision is clearing. It's 4 stars because I had to learn some of the exercises before I was able to read the book. This is my addition to my 1st review. I have and am reading the book. When I first opened the book to read it, I closed it since the print was so tiny. I have now and ma reading this tiny print by practicing the exercises in the book. Can't believe that I can now read the tiny words. it works!!!! You have to practice and keep doing the exercises. When you stop doing the exercises, you won't be able to read the small print. It's amazing and it works. I did change my stars from 4 to 5.

There are several methods these days on how to improve eyesight. All of them work. But also, all of them derive from the original work of Dr. Bates. These texts are original. Read them all, if you want to touch base with the source.

I suffered from sudden onset double vision. Went to several eye doctors and got the same information and suggested treatment with an estimated $6,500++ cost. Personal research steered me to the Bates methodology. Four days after starting the outlined method there was a noticeable difference. Now, after three weeks. the double vision is gone. I am still doing the exercises every morning. It worked for me. THANK YOU

There are some excellent ideas to be found in this book. But since Dr Bates is writing about 100 years ago his turn of the phrase is not easy at first blush. I had to read over and over and track down his words constantly to understand just exactly what he was trying to say. And he is not too good at defining some of the terms used. Also many of his examples seem to be miraculous and promotional in scope. I finally quit reading these since they are not really a help. Also several subjects are readily a repeat of ideas already presented as though trying to come up with enough to fill out a book. He could have said more by saying less.....

Very informative and interesting, highly recommended. I have only been doing the exercises for a couple of weeks and about 20 mins each day, but am noticing a positive difference in my vision.
