Had some issue with the motor kickstart. But they kindly replacing it. But other wise very solid engine perfect for small pit bikes.

    • No instructions
The product itself is a good running engine. No instructions came with it. There is a pinned connector exiting the engine case that fits the cdi and what not. This connector goes to the transmission for a gear indicator and will not facilitate a running engine. It took me a little while to figure that out but once I did I slapped this bad boy into a 1984 honda TRX with a very minor amount of modification to the fame(drilled one 1/2" hole). ... show more

A transmission bearing blew in less than 5 hours resulting in a hole in the side of the motor, seller refused to warranty the motor and treated me like an idiot saying that it just needs a new bearing and the hole would not hinder performance not to mention the chewed up transmission gears and shafts. After I proved him wrong with photo and video evidence, he stopped responding to my emails. The motor came damaged right out of the box, I provided a picture of the top tappet cover. Save yourself the trouble and order from a more reputable company like tbolt usa or bbr proformance. You could consider that maybe I got the only dud in over 1,000 motors but the customer service speaks loudly. I wish there was a zero star option for this rating. ... show more

    • Replaced a dead pitbike engine on a TaoTao DB14
This engine has been solid for 2 years of some pretty hard riding by my son and various adults. I replaced a faulty engine on a TaoTao DB14 and have very few complaints. I used another carb that I got here for $15, usually starts in 2-3 kicks and runs very strong. The shifter is a little clunky for kids and the case is wider that stock but I expected that. It bolted right in, I also had to get a new throttle cable because of length. Change the oil immediately, use 4 stroke motorcycle oil. ... show more
