Really wanted to love these shoes. They look really, really nice on and had no issues with discoloration or poor sewing/construction. The fit was great (wear a 7.5W and purchased an 8W) and not too long on the heel. They are lightweight and 'generally' comfortable. I did not find them to be particularly cushioning or arch supportive. I purchased them to have slip-on summer shoes to wear without socks and no pedicure, but the top underside is very stiff and rubs the top of my toes/feet. I liked them enough that I was thinking of softening by using leather conditioner or roughing up with fine grain sandpaper. But then there was the sound-the shoe soles must be hollow? Each step creates a 'ka-klunk' sound, so first the heel and then the toes (so if tip-toeing into church, would still sound like a high-heel). They are very nice-looking shoes, but needed to return. ... show more

These were exactly what some purchasers were saying. They squeaked when you walked which was extremely annoying. They weren't bad looking if you could get past the squeaking. I sent them back because I could not get past the squeaking. It is really too bad the manufacturer didn't find a way to deal with this problem. ... show more
