My 5year old is into planets right now so we got him this telescope and surprisingly it is really good. We could see the moon clearly. You cant really see other planets. But seeing the moon up close was enough for him.

Works great for moon and planet viewing. Was able to set it up easily and saw some pretty clear views of the cosmos. Daughter loved looking through it.

I'll start with the reason I took one star away, which is because of the tripod I found it pretty much impossible to set the Finder with it on the tripod because every time I tried to tighten the screws on the Finder the tripod would move so I finally ended bungee cording it to a deck post and using a piece of cardboard as a spacer between the post and the telescope to be able to hold the telescope tight enough for me to set the Finder in place It's easy enough to focus the telescope, and it has a clean, crisp image The carry case is nice and serves as a place to store it when not in use, to keep everything in one place Everything appears well constructed, and this should last a long time; it'll be passed on You really have to tighten the tripod to a point that's hard to do before attaching the phone, which will move the telescope So the suggestion I have there is to use the 25mm lens to get it focused on what you're going to view, and have the phone already attached to the other lens, so that way, when you carefully change the lens, the phone is already on, you don't have to tighten it to the lens, causing the telescope to move This would make a nice gift for someone interested in astronomy I can recommend this

My favorite part of this is definitely the backpack and how easy it makes it to transport. The directions are not the most clear but I figured it out. I think this is definitely something for kids instead of spending $1000 on a telescope. The phone holder is not the best and hard to use, that could definitely be improved, it wouldn’t even hold my phone.

Got the telescopes on time. Assembled and was excited to explore the planet, all components were there and easy to setup. unfortunately all week it's going to be cloudy. Will share photos once I get the chance.
