Love the size and weight to make it portable to carry. The grandkids can’t wait to take it outside at night along with their mini flashlights to see where they are going and to look through the book of stars. My children are in the 4-10 age range and I wanted a basic telescope to start them out on. This Hexeum has really fit the bill. It is easy to transport, easy to focus, durable, and has enough lense options to allow for better observations as skill with the telescope improves. I was looking for a "more than just a basic" telescope for my daughter and came upon this. Assembly for this is easy and that carrying bag is a nice extra. Once you dial in the visuals/proper lens to the part of the sky you are interested in, you can get a surprisingly high quality of zoom and clarity with this. I like the precise control handle which helps you make small movements to tune it. The attachment for the phone can be tricky and doesn't work the best with a pixel 8 due to the cameras that bump out but it can still work. Got a couple good shots of the moon that are quite nice. Worth it to try this if you are in the market for a simple, yet quality scope. ... show more

We got this as a gift for a 6 year old. He absolutely loves it and it’s perfect for him. I like the quality of the telescope and how easy it is to use. My only complaint is the spotting scope seems a little cheap but that’s just small potatoes compared to how awesome the telescope is. We can see the moon very clearly and it’s exciting to see the little ones enjoying it. Overall, I would highly recommend and for the price, it’s definitely worth it! ... show more

Absolutely love it! I got it for my daughter so she can start stargazing and have a better look at the moon at night, and it's so easy for her to use. The different lenses are easy to switch out, and the stand is very adjustable. She's even able to hook her phone up to the telescope and take pics of the moon through the lens! I've always wanted a telescope since I was a kid but could never afford one. Now that I'm an adult and have a 2 yr old I want to be able to experience the night skies with her. The instruction for setting up was not very good. I was still able to set it up mostly by looking at the picture on the box (- .5 star). The quality seems durable enough for a starter telescope. It even has a carrying bag for it. I deducted another .5 stars because attaching the phone to the lens was a bit difficult. It doesn't align centered. It was off by a few mm and caused the view to be a bit cut off. It was really just more annoying than anything else. It still worked just fine. My daughter and I use it during camping or just going out to our back yard on a clear night and enjoy looking at the moon and the stars. Overall a good starter telescope. ... show more
