Description

Get down in the muck and scum with the Turtle's radical Sewer Playset from 1989! This gigantic double decker hideout is the wacky home for all fresh- from-the-sewer heroes and a battleground for funky Foot encounters. On the top level, experience the thrills of Michelangelo swinging from high voltage power lines, giving the Foot the boot. Get chills as the ever sharp Raphael foils Shredder's scheme of making Turtle shish kebobs with his dreaded studded sewerball. Watch out below! But when things get ugly, the Turtles always give their enemies the slip by taking their secret high-velocity elevator underground. I anticipated this item for so long and it did not disappoint!! Playmates has been reissuing their retro TMNT figures and sets, and this was the playset I needed to add to my collection. All the figures fit perfectly and it reminds me exactly of what I had as a kid back in the 80s. It is so much fun! Easy to put together, super durable for when your cat pushes it off the shelf, and a great value ... especially since the original on eBay prices are insane! I couldn't even throw the box away because the artwork is amazing! For anyone who is getting back into collecting turtles, who was missing this item from their vintage collection, or who just loves TMNT and maybe wants to share this with their kids ...     • An amazing playset in 1989 and now, COWABUNGA!
An amazing playset I'm so happy that it was re-released and it's worth every penny. As far as I can tell it's identical to the original one that came out back in 1989. It's easy to assemble the only time consuming part is installing all the stickers. But it's absolutely worth it once it's done. It looks amazing and the place that is large so you have plenty of space to pose many action figures and play. And if you're more of a collector it looks great being displayed as is. I also want to know it's one of the more durable playsets compared to some of the newer play sets that are coming out these days it stands the test of time just like the original one from the '80s. Don't hesitate immediately pick this up if you have the chance! ... show more

    • Sewer Surfing USA!!!
Cowabunga dudes! It's the TMNT Classics Sewer playset just like from 1988! Complete with Ooze features and action features, like the Ooze dripping storm drains, rotating parascope hydrant, foot dropping power lines, street level elevator and more! Playmates did a very well job on this 2024 reproduction. Some improvements include a new plastic junkyard fence and easy assembly pop tabs for quick storage and setup. The TMNT Classics line as been a sewer blast, but unfortunately after 2026 the line will be discontinued for probably the next 10-20yrs since Playmates lost the master TMNT license. Here's hoping by 2036 or 2046 the line returns. Untill then I'll be making reproduction Ooze and having a blast with the Sewer playset and the rest of the TMNT Classics line! A Perfect Throwback to the ’80s! This Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Sewer Lair is everything I hoped for and more. As a reissue of the classic 1980s playset, it captures all the nostalgia perfectly while still feeling fresh and well-made today. The details are spot-on, and it’s clear a lot of care went into recreating the original design. Whether you grew up with the original TMNT toys or are just discovering them now, this set is an absolute must-have. Excellent set! I didn't have it as a kid, so I can't compare, but as far as I can tell, this is the same (or nearly). I really missed out, back in the day! It's packed full of features, and my son was instantly wowed and started messing with the features without any explanation. Naturally, as a collector, I like it for display, but it's also fun for photography! This is an all-around great playset no matter what year it is. If you never got it as a kid: get it! If your kids love tmnt, then this is a much smaller set than newer sewer lairs, but no less fun! Saves on space, but still packed with features that'll work with any era's tmnt figures. ... show more

The sticker sheet instruction was unclear, the overall layout is cool and my son loves playing with it. Found action figures at Target for half the price of a lot of amazing sellers. It’s pretty big too, at least larger than I was expecting. Took some time to assemble, but I figured it out. Took me back to 90’s era toys, my kids will play for quite awhile when they’re taking their screen time breaks, and this keeps them busy with imaginative play, very well. ... show more
