We ordered the wrong thing - which turned out GREAT! I (the shopper and non-golfer) found it online. My husband (a golfer but non-shopper) looked briefly at the description and specs. He loves the brand, was impressed by the loft, and said "get it." But . . . I thought we were ordering a driver!! THIS is a fairway 3 wood, whatever the heck that is. He loves it, and is keeping it! TLDR; super easy to hit, ball flies a mile off the face. Great value if you can catch it under $250 new. Head cover is extremely well made Like many, I struggled to hit 3 woods, so I just hit my long irons and still had a wedge shot into longer par 5’s. After visiting my local golf stores, I was lucky enough to find a used sim max2 3 wood on the rack. I was hitting the ball long and straight, with the occasional fade (my normal miss). They wanted a lot of money for a well seasoned club, so I decided to look and see what Amazon had. To my pleasant surprise, Amazon wanted a mere $18 more for a brand new sim max 2 than what my local big box golf store wanted for a used one. No brainer. I had a tee time scheduled for the day Amazon said it would be delivered, and I was excited to put it in the bag for the first time. I’m a 9 handicapper. As I have gotten older, I was having problems squaring the face, leaving the ball to the right. Decided I needed a Senior shaft … often hard to find in a 3 wood. After a month ( 8+ rounds), I am pleased with my new 3 wood. Club looks good, sets up well, instills confidence regardless of the lie and is easy to hit. Getting excellent distance. The Good: -Forgiving -Good looks while at address -Good distance The Bad: -None The Bottom Line: I needed a 5 wood and this Sim 2 Max is great. It's long and forgiving which I need in my 12 handicap game. I actually took out my 3 iron and replaced it with this club as I wanted more distance off the fairway.
