I love this costume. It fits perfectly. Great quality and craftsmanship. The belt was a bit cheese so I just used my own leather belt, but everything else is excellent. It does take a bit to lace up the front. I love this!

I bought this to wear to the Renn Fest October 2013. I loved it. For $25 and change, it is excellent quality. I read all of the reviews on Amazon before purchasing. Originally, I bought a Medium and it was too tight. The Large however, was a much better fit for me. Returns were easy. Free shipping on the return made my life better. I received MANY compliments on this dress. And I felt good for the price and time (about 2 hours) spent. MY dimensions: 5'2", 165lb, big hips, C cup, flabby tummy. :) Pros: material was decent; kept me warm while not sweating; was flattering after a few adjustments; easy to wash in the machine Cons: lace and bodice loops are cheap; the green apron looks very weird laying as is; belt was useless; wish it were made for petites so that skirt was shorter Tips: -I sewed the apron into a flattering style so that it sits in flowing waves all around but doesn't bubble out awkwardly. -I made the skirt shorter by sewing around the top of the skirt. This helps the skirt fall nicely on my curvy hips. -The blouse originally hung down a bit on my chest area. I am not used to showing SO much cleavage so I sewed up the sides of the corset so that it pulled slightly higher on the vest. Remember, this is made for a longer, straighter torso. The results made my husband happy. :) -I reinforced the bodice loops with some thread so they wouldn't come off the bodice, yet left it loose enough so that I could shift the loop sizes easily. -I had a pretty cord on hand that I twisted around the ribbon. The ribbon was ok but kept untying itself due to the material. The thick white cotton cord worked well by itself but the ribbon was a pretty yellow and I wanted to use it. The effect was pretty cool. --I am NOT a seamstress on ANY level - my "expertise" includes buttons. But hijacking this dress was easy. My amateur sewing was easy to hide under the vest and corset. I could not have made this dress by myself - not even close to it. And having something like this custom-made is too expensive. With a few "hacks" and some time, this dress was perfect for me. (I simultaneously watched the BBC Elizabeth Bennet so I was entertained.) I am leaving a review a year later because I intend to wear it again this year. This time, I intend to dress it up a bit more - yay for gorgeous braids, ribbons and costume jewelry! I recommend this to anyone, and I hope my review helps someone make a decision to buy this!

I'm glad I read the reviews because the size chart is not accurate at all. I'm 5ft, 120 lbs, petite frame but 36 bust. I normally order small but went with a medium based on the comments. The top half barely fits me and cuts off circulation to my arms. The bottom half I modified into a ruffle layered skirt in order to shorten it enough. So, I realistically would have wanted a large-xl upper and small-xs lower half.

Pros: I was pretty worried about the sizing - I'm very pear shaped, so I have trouble finding clothes that fit my waistline and super-curvy hips while not falling off my B cups. I generally wear an XL, and the XL costume fits me pretty well even though costumes tend to run a size small. I did have to pin up the material around my bust. It is not made for women with B cups. But all I had to do was loosen the ribbons a bit and it fits my waist fine, and the skirt works for my curvy hips and butt. So pear shapes, if you're worrying, as long as you know someone who can fix up the bustline you should be good. The straps of the corset part conveniently hide the alterations if you put the stitches/pins behind them. The shipping was also very quick, I'm impressed. I received it two days after ordering it. Cons: The belt is useless. The material slides easily and there's nothing holding it in place, so it slides loose when you move. Just toss it. I basically got scammed with this item. I originally ordered it when there was one left in stock and paid most of the $36 balance with a $25 gift card, leaving the remaining $11 to my mother's credit card. (I'm sixteen, just so we're clear, and I gave her cash for the $11.) Someone else had apparently gotten to the last one before me, because when I checked the next day my order had disappeared. Now, if the company runs out of stock they're supposed to hold my order until they restock. Instead they canceled it. (They did refund my gift card and my mom's credit card, so I didn't have to fight them on that.) The next day I checked back and the costume had been restocked, so after double-checking that the cards had been refunded, I re-ordered the dress. Funnily enough, the price had somehow been raised $8. That pissed me off, so I canceled halfway through the order and tried to find another costume. There wasn't anything else within my budget that didn't look like a pornstar's outfit. So I was forced to order this one. But I'm still really annoyed. Cute dress though.
