  • Not all button holes are the same size
Size: DIY Arcade Case 2 Player Color: Black 3
This is exactly what I was looking for in order to create my own arcade. The only drawback is the start and pause buttons at the top are smaller than the other buttons. I wi have to drill out the holes a little to fit. Otherwise this was a great buy for my needs.

  • Good, could be better?
Size: DIY Arcade Case 2 Player Color: Black 2
It looks good quality and durable. Only cons really is that not all screws were included. So i only have 2 per joystic and only one to have it closed. Also, BEWARE, the holes for coin and play starts are smaller in diameter than the rest. I should have payed attention, but it doesnt make sense to make those holes smaller. ... show more

  • Non-standard holes for the top buttons!
Size: DIY Arcade Case 2 Player Color: Black 4
I'm making it work. It's not going to be pretty though, unfortunately. I'm disappointed. When I saw this item pop up on my Amazon feed, I have to say I was a bit excited. Building out my own arcade set ups I realized, I'm not a fine carpenter. Its the one thing that you really need at the end, a slick enclosure for your DIY raspberry pi powered arcade. Then I saw this product. I didn't order right away. I was building my own wooden enclosure, this time trying certain types of wood for that fine look. I envisioned some kind of all-in-one type arcade unit maybe even with a track ball and a spinner. But eventually it started dawning on me that I would not achieve a nice fine look to it and honestly, having a second player (or more) would mean stringing along some kind of joystick combo for the other player. So I decided to take another look at this. I have to say, I was very thrilled at the idea of just taking everything I had and stuffing it in one of these bad boys. With one of these enclosures, I could focus on a much better experience, and already my mind was racing ahead to what else I might do to go with it... ...but then when it arrived, I saw it. The big problem. All of the 1 inch arcade quality buttons I had for coin, one player, two player, start, or select... NONE of them would fit the small top holes on this case! Did I not notice something in the product description?? Did I miss a close up photo contrasting the top button holes with the rest of the button holes?? None of that matters at this point. Here I am with something that doesn't quite work. I guess I'm going to try to drill the holes a bit bigger so they can fit a 1" button... pretty sure it will chew up the acrylic on the case, but I'm stuck for it now. It's just not usable as is. ... show more

  • Nice well package and looks nice.
Nice product! Package well and looks nice in person. Would've got 5 stars if the Happ buttons could fit. Only the short buttons like Sanwa or Sanwa clone buttons only.

  • Don't buy for a Pandora 9 arcade box.
Size: DIY Arcade Case 2 Player Color: Black 1
The case came, and the outside is as shown in description pictures. The top was a thick acrylic and looked nice from the outside. But... I opened the case up and saw that the mounts screwed into the acrylic to hold the front down were cracked from possibly using too much force or too small a screw hole from the factory. Three of the screws cracked the acrylic from underneath the top. The graphic sticker on top covers the cracks but could be a problem if you played hard on it...as cracks can continue to edges and cause strength problems. The biggest problem with it is there are standoffs built into the bottom of the metal chassis that do not even closely fit a Pandora's box 9. You would have to find some way build an adapter to screw into the case and move the mounts more together by over an inch to get the Pandora to mount. I think they are high enough standoffs for the Pandora but couldn't tell till I made an adapter. I don't know what they used for measurement of the standoffs but they certainly don't fit a Pandora's box. You gotta put a bit of time and thought into this if you want it to work. I guess that's what is required for DIY stuff... I think I will return it. Kinda a "you get what you pay for" thing. Would not have taken much to build this unit correctly. With the cracks, Japanese only joystick mounts, and Pandora mounts way off, It could have been a much more usable unit. ... show more

  • needs some work to get going...
Size: DIY Arcade Case 2 Player Color: Black 3
Bought this to use with he EG starts 2player pack. ran into the 24mm button hole issue so bought a 5 pack of 24mm again from EG. Now I'm on a hunt for screws that will fit the holes for the control sticks. The screws that come with the EG kit don't fit and the case doesn't come with its own, so the search continues... ... show more
