  • Very Cute Shoe, Might Need Wide Size
Size: 8.5 Wide Color: Grey Wash Canvas
I've been waffling over buying these Taos canvas sneakers for a very long time. They're a bit pricey, and are they worth it? Right out of the box they are very comfortable with nice support. I'm also super pleased with how they look. Cute, classic canvas sneaker. I purchased light gray, and I may get some different colored laces to mix it up. Based on size reviews of this shoe, I bought my usual size, but in wide, which I have never worn before. They fit perfectly! As said, I haven't worn wide sized shoes, but the shoes I typically wear are wider, comfy type shoes (Birkenstocks, Doc Martens, Dansko), so I'd suggest if you are not used to stuffing your foot into a more narrow, fashion conscious shoe, a wide might be the way to go in these. I could not imagine them feeling good if they were any less roomy, and length wise, my regular size is perfect. Just hope the quality is as good as it looks. Will update review if I find otherwise. ... show more

  • Cute kicks for comfort
These shoes just scream ME. They called my name when I was browsing for shoes, and now they are my most frequently worn pair. I'm going to have to buy a backup pair, and I don't mind! They're SO comfortable and match my entire casual wardrobe! I ordered the wide width, and I'm so glad I did. These kicks are perfect. They have a nice, supportive soul and they're not overly clunky. As a clumsy person with disabling back problems, I find this very important. They are very true to size. What are you waiting for? Order them already! ... show more

  • Good arch, thin front padding, low heel back
Size: 7.5 Wide Color: Blue Wash Canvas
The photos compare a 7.5 W in this shoe, and a 7.5 W in a Ryka. For reference, I wear a 7.5 in Keen, which are very comfortable on my slightly wider feet. I definitely needed the wide in the Taos - there was no extra room (thanks to others for recommending that). Yes, as mentioned by others previously, the padding in the front part is very thin, the arch support is high and excellent, the top part across the toes is stiff and you can definitely feel the shoe bend across your toes, and the top part of the back of the heel cup is low - so low that it rubs up and down on the back of my foot when I walk, and I am pretty sure this is going to blister. The color is darker than in the sales photos, which is nice. I wish they made a true navy. I can't take these for a real test and still return them, so may just return and keep looking. For comparison, the Ryka (lighter blue pair) are too long, wider, and feel sloppy on me. However, they are very comfortable, with no places that rub. I will be returning those, too (don't really like the color). This pair of shoes weighs 1 lb 10.4 oz. If you want something that feels hefty and MAY break in well for long term use, this pair could work for you. I am still looking. Checking out Le Mouton Forest Merino Wool shoes next .... (those were only 14.3 oz for comparison, with NO potential rubbing spots). ... show more

  • Comfortable and cute
Size: 11 Color: Black/Tan Multi
It’s hard to make a size 11 not look like skis, and the combo color block and plim sole, make these look very cute on a large foot. They are comfortable with a think supportive insole. True to size.

  • GREAT fit for wide feet! (9 W)
I am SOOOO happy with these shoes! It's extremely difficult for me to find shoes that fit my ice-cream cone shaped weird feet (D-ball, AAAA heel). I have flat feet as well, which makes things even harder. In the past the only shoes I could wear were men's shoes, since all women's shoes were B-width and were way too narrow. Took a chance on ordering these Taos shoes in 9 W after trying on the 9 M in a local store and really wanted the shoes. Nice and roomy in the toes, not floppy in the heels -- win-win!! They were a tiny bit stiff when I first put them on yesterday but they quickly warmed up. Today I applied band-aids at the top of the heel area just in case, but so far I'm not feeling any digging there, and the shoes are molding themselves nicely to my feet. Also, I thought at first the arched insole would be a problem for my almost totally flat feet, but as I've worn the shoes today, it's not a problem at all, and is actually quite supportive. Overall VERY comfy and I absolutely love the style. The contrast stitching is what really sold me on this shoe. (To be fair, I wanted the Taos Moc Star, but no one has the 9 W, not even the Taos website.) These shoes are literally as comfy as my bedroom slippers. Love, love, love these shoes! ... show more

  • Just OK
Size: 9 Color: Desert Multi
They're cute sneakers. I was on the fence for a bit whether to keep them or send them back. They have excellent support. The part where the tongue & the front & side all meet is stiff and the seams inside rub a little bit on the pinky toes. But more importantly, the heel slides. The heel box is very shallow and there's no curvature or soft rim to keep your heel in place as you move. I was hopeful I could wear these on long trips but I'll be leaving them at home for local use. ... show more

  • Comfortable right out of the box
Size: 10 Color: Navy Multi
It’s somewhat unusual to not have to break in shoes for me, even tennis shoes, but these were great. Wore them without socks for 6 hours which included grocery shopping. No problems. Good padding at the heel. Great arch support with the removable footbed. Also, I don’t know if it is the color blocking or where the laces are positioned, but I wear a size 10 shoe and sometimes my feet look very large depending on the style. Not so with these. I really like them. ... show more
