  • Wide fit is not typical wide fit…there is barely any difference.
Size: 7.5 Wide Color: White Leather
I own two pair of plum lux, one brown and one white (and I just ordered a black leather). First, they are BEAUTIFUL. They are really high quality leathers and materials, and look amazing with any outfit, even skirts and dresses. It is because of these facts I give them 4 stars. They really are a great looking shoe and are very well made. That said, they are not at all perfect when it comes to fit and sizing, so I offer some ‘advance’ info on what exactly these issues could mean for the average buyer. Sizing: I wear anywhere between a 7 to a low 8, and a 37 to 39 (depending on brand). For comparison purposes I wear a 38 in Duckfeet, 37 in Birkenstock, 39 in VIBAe, 8 in Adidas, 7.5 in Sketchers, 7 in Converse. In THIS shoe, I chose a 7.5 for my brown pair, and a 7.5 wide for the white. I do not have a particularly wide foot but a fracture makes my instep slightly high and the ball of my foot is a little wider on the right. My feet are bony, but normal otherwise. My general rule is to go wide in less forgiving materials like firm leather, and regular width in materials with more give. I tried on the brown 7.5 in a retail store and they fit fine. After a few days, however, I decided my next pair would be wide so I could wear thicker socks for winter. I received that pair today, 7.5 wide in white. I cannot tell the difference between the regular and the wide. The tongue is stitched with the word ‘wide’, but there really is no difference that I can detect between a wide and a regular. I took the insole of the ‘wide’ out and compared it to the insole in my ‘regular’ AND THEY ARE EXACTLY THE SAME SIZE. If there is any difference, I can’t tell. Since the regular just barely fits me (a regular-width-leaning-wide foot), there is no way a wide will fit someone with a truly wide foot. ..at least not with the insoles that come with the shoe. More about this… Insoles: The insoles that come with the shoes are very nicely made with good materials but they have two major problems. First, they are HARD. There is so little ‘cushioning’ for the bottom of the foot that the bottom of my feet actually hurt at the end of the day and that is not a good feeling after spending $170 bones on a shoe. Second, they are far too high (hard, thick) in the heel for the depth of the shoe so this causes a very poor fit on the heel. This would be especially pronounced for a wearer with a narrow heel, or a taller person. Shoe slippage is no good, uncomfortable, and unsafe. In addition, the forefoot of the insole is so thin and hard that it’s uncomfortable. Solution: I removed the insoles that came with the shoes and use instead the insoles I love from my VIBAe loafers, and other brand good insoles. THE GREAT THING IS because the insoles that come with the shoe are so high, removing them and replacing them with another full-size insole (not toppers) is simple and allows you to customize the footbed YOU like for YOUR foot. There is plenty of room for your own insole! Of course, this is also an added expense if you don’t have another insole you like on hand. Plus, you paid for the insole with the shoe. The bottom line for me is that the shoe itself is designed beautifully and wonderfully constructed and look so fresh that I am more than willing to use my own insoles to make them “the perfect casual sneaker”. But that’s me. I hope you find the information helpful. I surely appreciate reading these kind of details when shopping. Enjoy! ... show more

  • I like this brand
Size: 8.5 Color: Navy Multi
I own so many pairs of this brand. I usually purchase only when on sale though. I’ve gone back and forth between the 8.5 and 9.0. I have Morton’s foot (second toe longer than big), so I have judge size accordingly. I’m somewhat flat footed. and this insole is stiff in the arch. The 8.5 insole is more comfortable than the 9.0. I hit on the outside if my heel (supination) and for a woman that only weight 109lbs I wear out shoes very quickly because if this. The soles on other styles of this brand are on the thin side, but I’ve been able to get 2 years out of them. This shoe, because of the sole, took some walking around the house before I made up my mind to keep. I will have to wear a thin sock to keep the ankle from rubbing. Not sure if it’s really wider, or because the thick sole doesn’t have as much give or bend as the other styles. I received a lot of compliments my first wear. I’m not young, but I put in over 10,000 steps a day at my job and these were comfortable. ... show more

  • Cute shoes
Size: 8.5 Color: White Leather
Like these shoes but wish they had more arch inside shoe. Seem flat inside. They look nice on but I wouldn’t want to walk far. Maybe I’ll have to put an insert in them.

  • These are the ones you’ve been looking for!
Size: 7 Color: White Leather
Wanted some plain whites for “upscale” work tennis shoes. I have spent HOURS and HUNDREDS of dollars looking for the right pair. There are some derpy options out there! Specifically, I’m super picky and wanted more of a rounded toe, with the laces starting more towards the front of the shoe. BINGO! These. Are. So. Freaking. CUTE! They are also true to size. I am a solid size 7 and they fit perfectly with a thin no-show sock. These have good arch support and are lower cut around the ankles, so no chance of rubbing! Super happy to finally have my basic white shoe game on lock! Ps: Great quality too! ... show more

  • Sizing is the problem
Size: 8 Color: Olive Fatigue
I really like this sneaker in the fatigue olive - I wear 8 in every other shoe really wanting Sketchers for the umptine time, however the 8 in this shoe is too short at the toe. otherwise it's a knockout for material and style. I am going to try the 9. The 8 must be an asian size as it's just too small for me. Size 8 is stamped on the the shoe. --------------I reorderd the 9putting both on trying to walk which was so rigid. There is no flex in the sole. The heel is narrow which was good for me with plenty of room in the toe. Al this ended up as an experiment that never had from any other shoe. Sorry ... show more

  • Totally worth the $$
Size: 9.5 Wide Color: Caramel
I'm 69 with long-standing significant orthopedic issues (back, hip, knee), but still work and need to be on my feet a lot when working. These sneakers can be jeans- or shorts-sporty or even quasi-dressy; they look great; and they're comfortable and arch-supportive as all getout. The wide width is perfect for my wide-ish feet. ... show more

  • Comfortable and looks nice
Bought these for a trip to Europe as a more stylish alternative to my Hokas. Walked several miles a day on cobbled streets and these were so comfortable. I have extra-wide feet and while they weren’t as roomy as some of my other shoes, I did not need to size up and they did not pinch at all.
