This is the greatest investment in furniture I have made for a long time. I was incredibly hesitant to purchase this desk because I knew it was made out of particle board and a lot of the reviews said it fell apart, was hard to put together, and was not worth the money. I found the instructions very easy to follow and I completed the assembly in under an hour. The material is on the less expensive side, BUT still serviceable and did not break as I put it together. I was able to mount the fully assembled cabinet desk to the wall with ease by myself. I’ve been using the desk every day for work for six months now and it’s a big life saver since my partner and I are now working remotely from home in a small apartment. I absolutely love it’s size, the price, the clean look, and it’s sturdiness. The only negative I have for it is the gold hook shaped hardware clasp that holds the folded up desk table in place is flimsy plastic (not metal) and feels like it’s going pop off any day now. It’s not as big of a deal, as I found a strong metal replacement for it at a local hardware store. In summary, this desk is the best and I’m so happy I took the chance and purchased it. ... show more

This buy was all that I asked for. I was able to assemble and mount on the wall by myself with no real issues. I agree with many that the directions were not as robust as one might hope but after assembling many items in my past, I was able to get it on the first try. I love how it fits in my room.     • We got it mounted even on drywall

The seller doesn’t recommend mounting the desk on drywall. The clever mounting plates are not spaced for 16” stud centers and that spacing cannot be changed. Our solution was to butt weld the mounting plates, at precisely their required centers, to sections of 1/8” x 2” steel strap. That strap was leveled and drilled for #10 Flat head wood screws to fit the distances between the wall’s wooden studs. The dry wall behind the unit’s pre-drilled holes in the mounting plates was marked and drilled for butterfly toggle bolts. That fabricated mounting plate assembly was screwed/bolted to the wall at the height given in the desk assembly Instructions. The assembled desk was then hung on the mounting plates and affixed to the wall by the special (very clever) clamping hardware this desk seems designed around. I’ve been using the desk for nearly six months. I usually fold it up at the end of each use. It is easy to use. I’m also quite impressed by the space design and functionality. A note of caution, the final desk surface height is higher than would be comfortable for me when using a standard kitchen chair. Fortunately my old office chair has a seat height adjustment that when fully raised works for me. Also, I couldn’t find a desk lamp to either fit inside when desk is folded, or store neatly outside it. My solution was a compact goose neck lamp from IKEA with a wall-mounted bracket. I hung the thing straight, extended, and upside down (light facing down) on one side of the closed desk. The flexible neck permits the light element to be directed at the desk work surface when open. BTW the box was damaged on receipt and one non-structural part of the desk was damaged as well. The seller was very responsive when notified and I was satisfied with the outcome. ... show more

This was a fantastic purchase. It's pretty sturdy and works perfectly in our small room. It closes up to the wall and still looks nice. Only complaint is the hook that is used when closing it. It's a bright gold hook that isn't very sturdy. It works, just think the company should upgrade it to a better latch and one that isn't so fake gold looking. Maybe a neutral color to more match the desk. Over all our airbnb guests have really been impressed with the desk and loved having the option to unfold and use it or fold it to the wall while not being used. We actually bought a white one for one room and the brown for the other. Great purchase, very pleased. ... show more

I am in love with this desk. It is sturdy and beautiful! I love that I can close the desk up and not have to see my laptop, headset, and paperwork. The color is a perfect white! My chair fits perfectly and the desk is super comfortable. Plenty of arm room so that my arms aren’t hanging off the desk which could cause wrist issues. The desk comes in pieces and it does require assembly. There are many pieces. I highly recommend using the paper dimensions vs the dimensions provided in the Amazon posting. There is a difference and you’ll need the paper/written dimensions. It is also a two person job to hang in my opinion. But once you get the brackets on and mounted it is super sturdy. Assembly instructions are IKEA level. Typically fine for me but the hanging measuresments are in decimals (so marking with a measuring tape becomes tedious for no reason). The pieces look great but feel like they are made of cardboard, I wasn't aware that particle board could go to this level of cheap. Screws are made of such a soft metal that I stripped a few by hand! Slowly assembling something by hand shouldn't yield stripped screws or holes. After fiddling with the wall adjustments to make sure the fold out table section was level the weight of the table surface (the only thing made of a thicker/sturdier particle board) pulled the pos off the wall mounts. The kickout leg support being the thinnest pieces of this entire build couldnt handle the weight and cracked nicely down an edge before pulling out the hinges. These hinges are only being held in by dinky 1/2 inch aluminum scews. Wife bought this to conserve space, I like the concept but the execution is laughably bad. ... show more
