This is the greatest investment in furniture I have made for a long time. I was incredibly hesitant to purchase this desk because I knew it was made out of particle board and a lot of the reviews said it fell apart, was hard to put together, and was not worth the money. I found the instructions very easy to follow and I completed the assembly in under an hour. The material is on the less expensive side, BUT still serviceable and did not break as I put it together. I was able to mount the fully assembled cabinet desk to the wall with ease by myself. I’ve been using the desk every day for work for six months now and it’s a big life saver since my partner and I are now working remotely from home in a small apartment. I absolutely love it’s size, the price, the clean look, and it’s sturdiness. The only negative I have for it is the gold hook shaped hardware clasp that holds the folded up desk table in place is flimsy plastic (not metal) and feels like it’s going pop off any day now. It’s not as big of a deal, as I found a strong metal replacement for it at a local hardware store. In summary, this desk is the best and I’m so happy I took the chance and purchased it.

I am in love with this desk. It is sturdy and beautiful! I love that I can close the desk up and not have to see my laptop, headset, and paperwork. The color is a perfect white! My chair fits perfectly and the desk is super comfortable. Plenty of arm room so that my arms aren’t hanging off the desk which could cause wrist issues. The desk comes in pieces and it does require assembly. There are many pieces. I highly recommend using the paper dimensions vs the dimensions provided in the Amazon posting. There is a difference and you’ll need the paper/written dimensions. It is also a two person job to hang in my opinion. But once you get the brackets on and mounted it is super sturdy. I couldn’t be happier with this purchase.

The seller doesn’t recommend mounting the desk on drywall. The clever mounting plates are not spaced for 16” stud centers and that spacing cannot be changed. Our solution was to butt weld the mounting plates, at precisely their required centers, to sections of 1/8” x 2” steel strap. That strap was leveled and drilled for #10 Flat head wood screws to fit the distances between the wall’s wooden studs. The dry wall behind the unit’s pre-drilled holes in the mounting plates was marked and drilled for butterfly toggle bolts. That fabricated mounting plate assembly was screwed/bolted to the wall at the height given in the desk assembly Instructions. The assembled desk was then hung on the mounting plates and affixed to the wall by the special (very clever) clamping hardware this desk seems designed around. I’ve been using the desk for nearly six months. I usually fold it up at the end of each use. It is easy to use. I’m also quite impressed by the space design and functionality. A note of caution, the final desk surface height is higher than would be comfortable for me when using a standard kitchen chair. Fortunately my old office chair has a seat height adjustment that when fully raised works for me. Also, I couldn’t find a desk lamp to either fit inside when desk is folded, or store neatly outside it. My solution was a compact goose neck lamp from IKEA with a wall-mounted bracket. I hung the thing straight, extended, and upside down (light facing down) on one side of the closed desk. The flexible neck permits the light element to be directed at the desk work surface when open. BTW the box was damaged on receipt and one non-structural part of the desk was damaged as well. The seller was very responsive when notified and I was satisfied with the outcome.

The Picture Pages provided were a bit harder to understand on the assembly, but you could definitely get it done if you have assembled things in the past. Not enough screws were included, but luckily i had some on hand. The wall anchors were also terrible Bent when trying to tap in, but again i provided my own. I installed this in my bathroom and fold down each morning to use as a vanity. I put all of my makeup brushes in the angled slats, and makeup and lotions on the little shelves. I have plenty of room for my items. I had a bench from a previous vanity that i just store underneath the closed unit and it fits very nicely at the back of my master bathroom. Perfect for what i need. Better than expected. Should have measure the "hang height" a bit more accurately, because we hanged it a bit too high, and the table kind of tilts forward when opened. I will probably put a decorative wood block under it to make it level when i unfold in the future. It is not "off" so badly that anything rolls off or at all. I just like it to look more level.
