I honestly want to bump them up to 5 out a of a personal preference as they've held up to 4 months of retail (probably well over a million steps as several of us average 20,000 steps a day). They're fantastically durable, especially at the price point and grew on me quickly, but the points of the original review below makes me think 4/5 is plenty fitting. Actually buying another pair soon to keep in my car in case they break. The shoes are completely without insulation and have almost no padding. Working retail, I had shoes similar to this. That's where I'm not sure if I like them or not... They change how you walk for the better, but you'll instantly feel the cold or, if you're like me and work retail, you'll feel anything you drop on a toe way more than you would expect. I took a bit to feel the shoes out and all that, and I honestly think it's a good set of shoes, just add some padding if you have sensitive feet and expect to need some time to adjust. I hated them at first, but kind of like them; the only thing I can't comment on is the durability. If they last a few months, the 4 stars are deserved. ... show more

This shoe is very flat. Sadly in America we are used to a lot of cushioning. My husband being overweight and very tall. But this is a nice change and we can use it sometimes.

I broke my big toe tripping in my flip flops. I needed a closed shoe for stability while it was healing. I am a perfect size nine…..it was to tight on the broken toe, but fit my other foot perfectly! I went ahead and bought an additional pair one size up for the hurt foot and wore one of each. Now that I’m healed, they’re my new favorite gardening shoes! On the larger size…..I’ll wear them with thick socks in the cooler months! ... show more

What can I say. These were smelly like the rubber had been cooked before they were bagged. After airing them out and spraying them with Lysol, I could use them. They are comfortable. Just have your air freshener handy when you first open the bag.
