Quality: This is a nice dress, for the money. It's very pretty but the quality is that of a low cost dress, which was to be expected for the price. The lace does seem to fray a little easily, so treat it delicately. It is not sowen down on all edges, so if you took the time to do that, I don't think it would be as likely to fray. When I was putting it away and zipping it up (not wearing it) the zipper did seperate near the bottom. I got back together easily and didn't have any trouble with it after that (trying it on a few times, did not wear it for an extended period). Fit: I purchased this dress solely to remove the top portion and add it to the dress I already had. Since I wanted the option to return it I just bought a standard 14 (not custom measurements). This was the size of my current, higher quality dress which had to be taken in a couple of inches. Through the hip the dress was snug fitting but the top was one to two sizes to big. I am 5' 4", 140lb with a pretty even hourglass shape, almost the same measurements for bust and hips. The sleeves were also hughe, they will need to be taken in about 3 to 4 inches in diameter but their length was good. Overall I think it is a good option if you are not looking to spend a lot of money on a gown or if you just need it for parts, like me. You do need to be realistic though.
